Let me start by saying I'm sorry if this is a duplicate thread, I've never been very good at navigating forums. I tried several searches to look for similar threads, however I honestly can't think of what to search for.

With that said, I have been wondering why there's an upload schedule/count-down-timer. I'm sure this subject has been touched, however I couldn't find the answer in several searches, though someone will probably be able to find it in a very short amount of time compared to me. The reason I'm asking this isn't about newer episodes but of older series that have been aired/completed year(s) ago. It's not that it's intolerable, I'd just like to know as to why there's an almost week-long wait for 3 episodes of an anime that was aired to completion 1-3 years ago. One example would be "Eyeshield 21", the episodes currently uploaded are over 3 years old, and the show was completed in march of last year.

As for my suggestion, I recommend a shoutbox, or something similar(whether it be embedded from another site or a custom one made especially for crunchyroll, you could call it the crunchybox or something like that.) A shoutbox(or similar) offers immediate gratification to questions/comments and makes it much easier for users to communicate. Instead of having to wait days for somebody to reply to your post in the "recommend me and anime" thread, or browsing it's 190 pages(which takes hours), one can simply take the matter to the shoutbox and find somebody with similar interests with a suggestion of some sorts within minutes. I'm sure at least a few people would agree with me on this matter, and some would oppose. But I still suggest it.
