it seems a few users have commented that the new player video quality is not as good as the old player~
if you are having this problem, please try the new player again, its been updated earlier today. theres a link you can click to switch to the old player and compare ;P
if it still doesn't look as good as the old player, please upload a screenshot (with the handy image uploader) in this thread, as well as how fast your computer is, and help me debug this issue!
if they both look the same to you, i want to hear your feedback also, so i know i'm not going crazy.

edit 12/18/07: i've updated the player to have antialiasing/smoothing for subtitles. lemme know if it looks better or worse!
edit 12/19/07: added a bugreport link for those with audio but no video. lemme know if it's still happening!

well i think it's just that the videos don't turn out as good if the video size is small. so if they actually bother to make it full screened, the quality will relatively look better too. because the things can be pixelated better that way o.o

There are some videos when played with the newer player has a poorer quality than the older player, but the recent videos that i've watched seemed quite good in the newer player, so the newer player is ok to me.

Actually, i think the old player loads much faster than the new one. Other than that, the qualities of both players are about the same.

well, i still cat see the difference, but u can say that well, the higher and new quality is a lot better than the low ones

I like the new player because the quality of the video is better on most videos I have watched. Sometimes the sound has low quality, though. As for buffering, I find that sometimes I have to refresh the page to get it to start up. Not too slow for me though. Overall, I am enthusiastic about anything that increases image quality and gets rid of pixelation. The new player does that to some extent.

the new player looks cool.. but there is a bit of a delay in streaming time compared to the old one.. quality wise i don't see any difference so it's cool.. n having links to choose between the old n new players is also very convenient.. Thanks Shinji

doesnt the new player take longer to load because the quality is better? the load time dosetn even take long enuff to complain about, i think

is it my broadband connection or the old player loads much faster than the new one + without the buffering thing...?
