1. Definitions

I'm not going to put a lot of work into this point, Orators down the line can fill this in.

Original - "created directly and personally by a particular artist; not a copy or imitation" Basically, when applied to a story, it means that you created it yourself.

Bacon - A post that isn't quite crappy enough to be Spam, but not good enough enough to be considered worthy.

Steak - Good, acceptable posts.

-----------------------------
2. Accepted content
-----------------------------
Anything of artistic or creative literary nature, as long as it complies with site rules, will be accepted.

To be truly creative you need a bit of an open hand. Until something causes an issue, literary forms of all style are accepted. That includes: Original Poetry, original short-stories, original folklore, original mythology, original fiction and original essays.

However, the acceptance of "fanfiction" had yet to be debated, so for the time being they'll be removed from being accepted. Also, there will be no adult content. Keep it to a PG-14 level.
----------------------------
3. Rules.
----------------------------

1. Plagiarism is strictly forbidden, and will result in a instant ban from the group, and probably a smear campaign if i can manage it.
-
2. Respect the Orators. and give them no crap.
-
3. If you plan on posting a lot of things here, instead of individual threads, a showcase thread is a the ideal choice. (basically, keep your work organized).
-
4. No bacon or spam posts. All posts must be of "steak" quality, so try not to make yourself look stupid.
-
5. Give good constructive criticism only, there will be no tomato throwing here.
-
please follow all of the forum rules as well.
----------------------------
4. Stray Thoughts
----------------------------

Using the forum box to write out all of your work is quite silly. So just copy your work into it, and format it with a word processor. I'd recommend looking at Openoffice.org for all of you without one. It's free.

I don't mind much if you just post a link from your fanpress.com account, or whatever you use. Whatever works, just make sure the username matches your username, or it will be removed to prevent the threat of plagiarism.

Make things sound epic, alright?

question about the rules........ if an author request it for a story, as long as comments aren't overly critical, can comments be a little on the negative side??

Quick question. Can I start posting update notices and feedback requests for my webcomic here? So say on Monday I post up the link to the newest page and a call for comments? I don't want to be considered a spammer by doing so.

sure, you could probably maintain your own thread for your web comic : ) each edit/update would shoot it to the top, so it should work.

If you're asking for like a thread each week, that might be harder. A mod in the group can always edit the title of your topic however.
