Hi. My name is Vixen, or Youko. My nickname is Pillow Queen Neko *plz don't ask*. Anyway, I'm an english major attending MSC. I LOVE books, all kinds. I love writing as well. Mostly I've done short stories and poems. I even have ideas for anime/mangas but I can't draw so i can't do anything with them I'm best at writing fiction, and, in general, I prefer to read it, though I don't really mind what genre it is as long as it's written well. I get a lot of my inspiration from listening to music and watching music videos--in fact the story I'm writing now, which I'll turn in for the contest, is based on the video for the song Angels by Within Temptation. Oh and I'd just like to say that I think this is a really awesome idea for a group!

I'm a creative person, I'm at University of Sydney doing BA. Design Computing.. so alot of graphics, 2d, 3d, animation, multimedia, web design, programming, etc.

Hm... But I've been writing since when I was little (I'm 18 atm). Started off with poems, then short stories..

I ended up being student editor for my school newspaper “The Lantern” in 2002 and 2003. Drafted and assisted in selection of articles, and wrote the ‘entertainment’ section. And later on at another school, I wrote some articles for “Checks and Stripes” in 2005 and 2006 (but I did more like constructed banners, the layout, and photos which improved the structure published in the newspaper). Hmm.. I've done a short journalism course too.

Anyways.. What really got me into writing was when I won this creative writing competition for the Shanghai City Weekender magazine in Year 9 I think.. A 300RMB voucher for this restaurant (covered the wine for the meal.. lol). So after this, in high school I did all advanced english courses, like 'extension english 2..'.

I love reading.. I even worked as a student librarian assistant leader at my school >< So I spent my lunch times and after school on Fridays in the Library.. lol

Romance got me at the beginning.. There was Shakespeare (I did drama as well..), then Classical literature and philosophical stories, and more random books from high school.. lol I also like Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicals, Agatha Christies' mysteries, and tooo many others to post. The last books I've read were fantasy genre, which were almost every Feist's books.

Edit: Now how could I have forgotten Nicholas Sparks, Matthew Reiliy, Thackeray, Chopin, Eliot, Gaskell, Hardy, Brown..

College student, a bit bothered by my course, but then, I could spare some time with this.
I like creating stuffs, I like exchanging thoughts and I like the idea of writing stories. But my taste for stories
would rather be inspirational, than the usual genre's..:D this group sounds interesting, so I'll settle things that I've got to settle now, and check this group more often... :)

hey, don't mind the lame sounding username cause it was seriously just a random moment xD if need be, call me RS (: I like...no wait...LOVE writing, it's like a hobby! For genres, i prefer writing light stuff like humour, fantasy and etc. although an occasional deep story idea might just form occasionally lol! Reading is basically almost anything interesting although i tend to favour fantasy, comedy and romance genres more =3

I used to draw since years before entering school, stopping right after I was ten. That is still something I do every now, and then. My favorite genres are drama, and fantasy. However, any other genre would be good to me. I can adapt to most situations. Nice to meet you all.

Hehe... i'm Chelsi. A big fan of anime... isnt it obvious. I don't know... but i might be the oldest person around here. Im 24, living somewhere in Manila trying not to inhale pollution and watch the skies for UFOs. Luckily there are lots of places to go in the city but i crave going to the country as well. I like mountains and the beach, and grew up believing that the sea would swallow me whole. Reading gave me life and I hope that i could give life someday by writing... hopefully... hehe
