I Read pretty much anything good, stuff that doesn't have common things. Like in the book 'Looking for Alaska', the main character has the talent of remembering anyone's last words. It's things like that that get me reading a book. Unusual things about characters and plotlines.

I like writing as much as I do reading and drawing (Which is another habit...). Poems, stories, etc. are all quite common with me.

I go by Rose and I write mainly poems and very short stories. I figured it would be a good thing to branch out so I joined the contest. ^.^ I wouldn't say there is a genre in particular that I like just that I enjoy certain styles of writing and subjects. My favorite authors are Robin McKinley, Orson Scott Card, Tamora Peirce, Philip Pullman, R. A. Salvatore, and so on. I would highly recommend the book Beauty by Robin McKinley to anyone. Its a re-telling of Beauty and the Beast and it is wonderful.

i love reading..a lot!..any reading materials will do..i go for fashion magazines,entertainment mags,broadsheets,inspirational books..(the purpose driven life..two thumbs up!) but most of all im more into paper backs..mostly, Harlequin and Mills and Boon, i always have an eye for the works of Nora Roberts and Penny Jordan.

i have my share of time writing also,im a frustrated writer myself...as of now im working on my first ever novel..tentative title is "midnight bottle" inpired by the song of the same title,by Colbie Caillat. hopefully i could finish it by the end of next month.

Since i have a personal issue of not divulging my real name anywhere online, you can just call me Zanyuki (or Zan, or Yuki, or Zany if you want, as well, lol), also known as diamond_dust08 in FF.net and Fiction Press. i've taken Journalism in college and i've been a very active contributor in our school paper, from trivial articles to full blown editorials. but probably my first love is writing original fiction--i've tried poetry as well, but i found that i didn't excel in it as well as i did in fiction.

i'm currently 22 years old and living somewhere in the capital of the Philippines, and have been writing ever since i learned, well, to write my name (which is... what, during kindergarten?). this is due to the fact that when i was little i was so dissatisfied with stories and games because they proceed practically without my control. maybe i'm a control freak, but since then i wanted to craft a series of events that i could influence, which is entirely up to me. this is why, although i'm currently in a profession not really related to writing, that i've always wanted to be a writer.

the genres that i usually write about in are fantasy and contemporary science fiction, although my fantasy works are by far the larger and more in-depth. while these two genres are probably one of the blandest and most stale of the literary categories, i try to inject my stories with social commentaries on the world of today, and as one of the outlets that i want to impart on my readers. a few of these values is the idea of free will versus destiny (attested in my novel An Oath in the Storm), reconciliation with the past (in my novel Tsubasa Reverse), and the notion of identity against the emerging conventionalism of our present society (in my most recent and as-yet-unfinished A Windswept Hill). sadly, all three have been unpublished as yet.

anime has been an integral influence in my early writing career, although i haven't been really fond of anime these past few years. instead, i've taken a lot of influence from the writers that i like, foremost of which is George R.R. Martin with his fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire, Stephen King and his multitude of novels (and most especially The Dark Tower), and James Clavell with his novels set in East Asia, particularly Japan.

I don't really enjoy writing, in fact it's my worst subject in school. But ever once in a while I would get an inspiration and wrote something but never finishing it. However, since the 6th grade a develop a love for reading. I would usually prefer a book over sports or even anime (two other things that I love to do). My reading range are mostly fiction books but I wouldn't mind other types too.

I really like to read, and last year i read over 34 books! All of them had over 300 pages, and i like to write something too! I just want it to be sad, because i'm sad most of the time, and let out all my anger on the keyboárd, when i'm writing something!
But usually, i'm a smily person! I love to read Fantasies, and other stuff, like HP and other things, again! I like to write about some dragons, or something else, but when i do that, it's like i'm repeating Eragon, and i don't want to do that! So i kinda write something that's sad. When we get hw, that includes writing a story, i almost always gets good grades! I hope i can write something good here!!! I'm gonna do my best!!!
