Snobbiest store/boutique?
Posted 2/14/09
Hollister.
When you go in the one here, you can't ever find the freaking people and when you do (they're usually slacking off at the back) they're all like, "-melodramatic sigh- What?"

too broke to actually relate... wait there's starbuck's.. coz' starbuck's here is practically worshiped by those who have a hidden desire to be white anyway i went in at an unholy hour wearing only flipflops, a bedhead, (back when i still had hair), shorts and a dirty looking tee. the security guard won't let me in coz' there's a fucking dress code! after much debate and a few minutes of stare down, he begrudgingly let me in. And lo, and behold fo once in my life i've brought silence to the room and all eyes were on me. waiting apprehensively for my every action. "is he drunk? he might run amok" "i thought they don't allow bums in here" "oh god this might be a hold-up" or maybe it's just my paranoia talking..

anyway... I went up to the counter and the bitch cashier and the equally bitch of a dude barista eyed me from top to bottom as if my very humanity is being weighed then i spoke up in my best possible straight english much to the amazement of the conyos. "Good morning, I'd like to order 2 grande sized brewed coffee, make it black and a couple of your chocolate chip cookies please" and they were like whispering to each other"omg, he knows how to make salita in english!"

Haha I totally agree, effin' idiots made it into some kind of a status symbol or something. But in NJ my cousins and I would just walk in right from our house to grab something before a movie marathon and it would be totally ok. I totally lost my interest on Starbucks Philippines, making something out of coffee, eew. You're not alone.

was it recently?
i read an article about designer stores and how most are changing their snobbiness towards "middle" and "lower" class people because of the recession.
it was really funny, actually.

Abercrombie & Fitch/ Hollister. Talk about rude employees. They aren't helpful at all. They took half an hour to get me a fitting room, and when I asked them if they had a shirt I saw on a mannequin, they said they'd check, but never came back. I also got weird stares from a lot of the shoppers there. And any store where I have to wear a large, considering I'm a small or x-small in other stores, has a problem. I've never bought anything there, and I doubt I ever will.

If you dress up casually, it means you don't have money and therefore they will not entertain you. I get this a lot. Whenever I decided to buy clothes, I would go for designer clothes bcoz I am quite big-sized. The people there will stare at me as if I am somekind of...poor girl trying to act rich. It hurts at times. They sometimes won't even talk to you.

KFC Tanza,Cavite Philippines Branch. They're under staffed and the cashier is always on the hurry to make you "go away" even when you're the only one she's serving.

I have to say Starbuck. The young cashier so rude to me and my sister. My sister gave him the giftcard, then he slide back without giving it back by hand to my sis. He like never smile and didn't say thank you. So funking rude. He is like a high school kid. I don't go there anymore. Full of white rude people.
