I really loved that movie. The story was really sad and it kept me interested.

I think there's no need for the remake 'cause it's impossible to make the movie better than it's now. But whatever.

Indeed the ending of the Korean original was heartwrenching. I still remember the ending theme

btw "the unvinvited" was also pretty good of you ask me

Although highly Americanised, the remake is not that bad. It'd work even better if you pretend you didn't see the original.

No I am the one to blame. I mean after all this topic is about the American movie "the uninvited". I forgot to mention I was talking about the Korean movie "the uninvited", aka "a table of 4" I think...

Well I can't find it either. But I have it on dvd, so it exists for sure. Some reviews:
http://www.kfccinema.com/reviews/horror/uninvited/uninvited.html
http://www.koreanfilm.org/kfilm03.html#uninvited

certainly not the best film out there, but I remember having seen it, so it must have been ok.

I haven't seen the American remake yet, but I heard it's actually pretty good. I don't like the idea of American remake, but it's generating a lot of interesting and curiosity for the original. You should see the youtube original videos, almost all of the recent comments are that they saw the American version and want to see the Korean.

i would like to say that I enjoyed the movie, but that it is not that great. So beware if you are going to spend money

So far I have seen 227 Asian movies, and i can tell you there are dozens of movies I watched that are better than this one. But maybe I think this way because I like silent dramas, without expressive emotions, and not so much the horror genre. Because real scary things in life aren't ghost or supernatural things. When you are scared, it's not because of some 400 year old vampire or a giant mutant fish in the river. People are scared of the future of the past, of themselves, ... , I think.
