Why Fansub Supporters Are Acting Like They Are, And The Solution To Their Problem
Posted 2/14/09 , edited 2/14/09
When you apply the science of positive psychology, human behavior pattern, and human brain function(http://www.opednews.com/articles/From-Reptiles-to-Humans-A-by-Rand-Clifford-090108-868.html). You can really see just how people turns out like they are.

Positive psychology is the scientific study of the strengths and virtues that enable individuals and communities to thrive. Those individuals and communities that are thriving have these strengths and virtues in their behavior patterns which are positive. And positive human behaviors are the byproducts of our neocortex, aka the thinking brain. Therefore when I applied positive psychology onto a background of failing anime subcultural community(virtual and real). I instantly found the solution to our many problems(this is called learning through failure: http://blog.thinkforachange.com/2007/02/25/failure-is-about-learningand-learning-is-about-failure.aspx); the majority of those who won't budge ever on the fansub side, are scared now not because of a failing anime industry, but the realization of the cause of this was in fact, their inaction for doing the right thing. That's why they kept telling themselves these lies while refused to acknowledge the reality. Those behaviors will then became as a pattern in their daily lives, and they in terms become these creatures only driven by the negative emotion called fear, not strengths nor virtues that enable individuals and communities to thrive. This is also why they aren't thinking straight most of the time, whether on the internet or in real life.

And the solution to all those problems is within this practical wisdom: Conquer your fear, and you conquer yourself(http://zenhabits.net/2008/11/five-helpful-attitudes-for-dealing-with-your-fears/).

And yet, as I've said so before, they aren't really thinking straight most of the time. So you can't even try to reason with them, when their side of the arguments are mostly whines and complaints, or unreasonable demands. They're acting like the whole freaking world own them something, when the only thing they're entitled of is their own stupidity caused by their own fear.

Internet terrorists, anyone?

I think this has been discussed in quite a few Fansub threads before.
