The Mozilla foundation has updated their Firefox browser to 2.0.
New features include:
New default theme. Not that interesting, in my opinion.
Phishing protection. But if you're dumb enough to fall for phishing, you deserve what you get.
Built in spell checker. Checks your spelling on most forms. Not this post form, though...
Enhanced search bar. Now, if Firefox has a search plugin for the site you're looking at, you get an alert. Plus, it can suggest as you type, which is actually quite annoying. Plus, search engines are easier to deal with now.
Session Restore. Now, if you want, you can have Firefox open to the exact same tabs and windows as your last browsing session.
Better RSS feed handling. Now, Firefox can pass your RSS feeds off to Thunderbird, Google, Bloglines or Yahoo, or you can use the normal Live Bookmarks.
Better Themes/Extentions management. Now, they're handled by the same dialoge box and... yeah. that's it.
The new version of JavaScript. For the 3 people who still use that.
Some other tech-y type things have been added, but all in all it seems decent enough. It also carries over all your settings from Firefox 1.5.0.*, so you don't have to worry about setting things back up the way you like them. I think Mozilla is still going to support 1.5 for a while yet. Anyone else try it out?

Java is, but JavaScript isn't as widely used as it once was.

I liked my old firefox better. A lot of my themes and extensions don't work now.

BTW, if you want a more anime-themed browser, check out http://lolifox.com. It has all the stuff Firefox 2.0 has, but customized with anime goodness.

ok, can somebody send me the install file for the previous Firefox version?
Most of my add-ons don't work because they aren't compatible with the new version.

hmm, this thing has a spell check aswell, which is kinda kewl... but still i don't want firefox 2 until the addons have been made compatible

hey everyone, get nightly tester tools!

it'll force your extensions and addon's to work with the new version, it worked for me, however the tab mix plus was a bit screwy, so I removed it for now. I'm surprised no one posted this yet.
