Personally, I think the fact that our natural evolution that allows us to develop the neocortex part of our brain, in order for us to gain the upper hand on our emotional limbic brain and the primitive reptilian brain, at a roughly 76% of the human brain's volume. Is the proof that as long as we're still thinking creatures, our logical reasoning through nourishing and nurturing should overcome our naturally emotional and primal tendencies.
That's to say, if we can all become independent thinkers, and obtain true authenticity through our own individual efforts. And not simply depending on authority figures for directions and guidance. Especially when said authority figures lack humanitarian values like love and compassion.
