It is normal to fall for a friend, but how to act about it differs. Telling a friend you’ve fallen for him/her is the hardest part. It’s difficult to say ‘Hey, let’s be honest friend…blah blah”. The risk might ruin the friendship; but hiding the feelings inside flames the whole being. We can’t just say “Hey friend, I like you!” or “I love you friend, honestly” --- it’s even harder to tell “Hey friend, I love you… is that ok?”

Then how….

mm i would just ask him to go to eat or the movies. just the two of you. after a few of those, he'll probably get the idea and do his part if he likes you back/is smart =)

edit - oh yeah, act a little more intimate than usual. casually brush over his hand every now and then, etcetc.

What's there to lose if you're confessing? If he/she is truly a friend, then even if they don't return the feelings, they'd still be your friend. Then they could help you find someone else.

I usually chicken out and send in a spy to find out how she feels about me before I mention anything on the matter.

it might get awkward... some people avoid people like crazy after being confessed to.

It can't be helped. People are different, so they would react differently. Then there's the people who are acting upon and each would do so differently. But for me, it's worth the risk. I mean I wouldn't like agony lingering about me unless I get over it and make confessions. That's just me. I wouldn't know unless I try.

It's a very slippery slope you're walking on. While I totally believe that great friendships can come out of relationships....trying to move from friend to lover is a tricky thing. In my experience, in cases like this when it goes bad...it goes really bad. So you really just need to decide if it's worth the risk or not...but hey you probably shouldn't listen to me right now anyway...I'm still nursing the wounds from my latest breakup.

step 1: stop crying blood
step 2: I dunno, but its hard to tell with the 0 details your giving us. Have you seen any signs that hes digging you? Is this your online relationship?
step 3: ???
step 4: profit!

Ha! Just like you to bring the money aspect into this thread. I was about to go to sleep but for the love of jaysus, why in all hells do people spend this much energy on trying to figure out what is going on in some ones head.

No one is a bloody mind reader. Speak your mind. The more honest you are to the other party and to yourself the better off you will eventually be.

If you like someone let things run their course. The worst thing you can do when you first meet someone is start imagining wedding bells. Figuratively speaking of course. Real life is much less complicated than the rest of the population makes it out to be. So relax, grab a paper bag if you need it and carry on.

falling for a friend is a bad bad idea esp when she sees you as a friend only... after you tell your friend about your true feelings, she'll like freak out and it sucks...

there was once when i confessed to one of my friend, she just like erase me from her world.. she was acting really really weird.. before i told her about my feelings, we used to share a lot of things.. we used to hang out a lot... but after the confession, t'was like
i just disappeared in her world...
but now, we're friends again... but then it isn't the way it used to be...

hm. friends. i think it's trickier...but they always say that you should at least be friends first...before you get into the whole bf/gf thing. then again....it's somehow easier to ask someone who isn't close to you. haha. i think it's like we take friendship for granted...and when one party has feelings that the other doesn't share...then it gets complicated. haha.
