It is unconstitutional.

You can't compare black people and smokers. Black people do nothing wrong, and didn't choose to be black. Smokers are bothering other people and chose to do so.
So, ok, you want to point something out to me, go ahead, but find something that is comparable.

If you can compare smoking to yelling in someone's ear, I can relate discrimination against blacks to that of smokers. Public discrimination is unconstitutional. You can't discriminate against me because I smoke. And it's not like I walk up to you, blow it in your face, and punch you until you smoke. You're trying to portray smokers as sick monstrosities in society that must be shunned. Another thing, studies have shown that people prone to addiction have it in their genes. They didn't choose. And the whole funny thing is this: Smoking doesn't kill. People kill themselves with EXCESSIVE SMOKING. And even that doesn't kill nearly as many as cholestoral. So why not discriminate against fat people? Oh wait, that would be insenistive: They didn't choose to be fat, it's in their genes, we should feel sorry...Blablablabla. Same old story. I have news for the world. Everything is our own damn fault. Yes, I choose to smoke, but it's also in my genes. Obese people over eat by choice but it's in their genes (bad metabolism). If you're going to discriminate, at least discriminate against everyone for making a bad choice. But since I know that you're biased, I'll let you discriminate. And I will blow smoke in your face everytime you do, just to rub it in your face.

Great!...I forgot that existed...but from the time I created that thread, and well, now.
more and more people I know, my friends, are smoking, and were previously against it...
and how long was that?...between an interval of a few months?...things change...it doesn't take much to get addicted

... Dude, you didn't listen at all, did you? I do not - NOT - care about your health. It's just bothersome to inhale other people's smoke.

I am not one of the people who feels sorry for fat people. They should eat less, and exercise more. But fat people don't make me smell bad, fat people don't make me breathe filthy air.

Oh well... Let's just agree to disagree.

I don't make you breathe the air. Get a gas mask. It's your choice to breathe it.

I do think that when people light up a fag they should have a little consideration for the people around them. I'm not saying that they have to go away to the middle of nowhere to smoke but I've had people who've blown their smoke right into my face...not because of the wind or anything but literally directly into my face. That really irritates me.
I don't mind people smoking but I don't especially go out of my way to shove my face into cigarette smoke either.

And more than once I've seen people just blow smoke in my sister's face which I get really pissed off with, which I have good reason to be as well. I want her to go through her first 10 years of life without breathing in nicotine thank you.

Claire, hun that's just rude smokers.

Most american smokers that i know, are considerate of thier smoke.
I mean if wind carries mine into someone face i apologise right away and try to move to another spot as to minimize the smoke into the non smokers.
but that's just me and the people i know, perhaps things are different in other countries.

Yeah. It's people like them who absolutely has no idea of what smoking really is. Their abusing their rights that way. I mean like what Shelly said earlier about the Native American tribes, what an artful culture they have. I'm pretty sure I'd end up visiting such historic places of the Native Americans and eventually end up in a smoking teepee. What fun it could be to socialize with these pro smokers and learn about their customs. And one more thing, they're not the type that would blow smoke in your face.

Cigarette smoke makes me feel sick and I don't even have athsma. Nicotene is actually a natural insecticide secreted by tobacco leaves and other plants. It's really a public health matter. A smokers right to smoke should not interfere with my right to breathe.
