i got this gash in my right leg from jumping around on my cousin's bed. i fell off and there was a screw sticking out somewhere and it got my leg. there was just a whole bunch of blood gushing out of there..
that was ridiculous.

ive also broken my arm before and had to wear a cast but that's about it.

*remembers much climbing as a kid and surprisingly few injuries that came with it*
hmm... only been to the hospital 3 times, 2 times weren't related to any injuries...
so guess that leaves a half broken ankle as the worst ever XD
actually wasn't even broken, just cracked and i got a cast for a few weeks because of the location >.>

I was riding my bike with family when I was younger.
We all came to a hill and everyone stopped... Except me.
I couldn't remember how the brakes worked.
My mom sped down and we crashed.
My whole entire left side of my face slid on the road under us.
Surprisingly I have no scar.

I sprained my left foot and it got swollen. End of story. XD Jk. I was playing tag on a playground and I jumped off of something and I felt something pop on my left foot.It started to hurt and I kept panicking. And in my mind I was like,"OMG What will my mom do to me!?Will I get a cast!?Will I get crutches!?" And a few weeks later it was gone. :DDD

Top 4:

4. Dislocated knee sustained in Taekwondo pain factor: 20/10 lol
3. 6 broken ribs sustained in Kyokushin Karate pain factor: 10/10
2. Severe knock out in Taekwondo tournament left swelling on my brain, Intensive care for 3 days until it went down lol no lasting affects (honest)
1. Obliterated collarbone and severe dislocation of the shoulder, Taekwondo again. 4 operations.

Either I'm just really unlucky or TKD is the most dangerous martial art for the learner. you have to fly to be any good basically so yeah worth every second of hospitalization -__- trust me. lol.

The 1st worst injury?

Back when I was still in high school, during the summer of my junior year leading into senior year, I went horse back riding at a ranch out along the NJ / PA border with my family and some friends.

Before then, I used to go riding at this ranch a few times a year, so I wasn't new to riding.

Went on the intermediate trail with a friend of mine, about 10 other people, and two trail masters. One trail master in the front and one in the back.

Now on this trail, we were NOT supposed to gallop. No full out running. The fastest we were told that we would go would be a light canter ( it's like light jogging for us ). Well, while out on the trail, the head master shouted out to us that HE decided he wanted all of us to gallop. Yep, he wanted all of us to gallop, even though we had NO idea how to. And even though we all said NO, he decided to do it anyway.

And, these being trail trained horses that we were riding on, our horses did what the lead horse did and went into a gallop. As luck would have it, I had a spirited horse AND, we found out later on, my right stirrup wasn't fastened properly. My horse went a tad nuts AND the right stirrup fell off... and I went right with it, landed on my left knee, and blacked out.

My friend Melissa, who was on the horse behind me, said she saw me rolling on the hard path and her horse almost ran me over. That I had been out cold for about 5 minutes. Next thing I remember, I was on top of this HUGE draft horse ( basically a walking COUCH ), being led back to the barn. My knee was all bruised and puffed up, and my hands and forearms cut up and bruised from covering my head when I fell.

Mom took me into my doctor and the quack didn't see anything out of the ordinary, so no surgery was done at the time, even though I was hurting. But a month or two passed, the pain in my knee was getting worse and worse to the point that I couldn't walk on it anymore ( which is VERY bad when you're part of the color guard and marching band ). We went to my doctor again, and it was only THEN did he decide to write me a recommendation for a knee doctor.

Sure enough, when we went to the knee doctor and he performed a few CAT scans on my knees, he saw that the miniscus under my left knee cap was torn to shreds. So I had to go in for surgery to shave away what was left of the miniscus ( it was all just kind of floating around in there ) and fix what damage they could. Yeah, I couldn't march and perform with the marching band for our final competition at Giants Stadium for my senior year...

I now have no cushioning under that knee cap and have to take glucosamine chondroitin every day, and I now have arthritis in that knee. I DO try to keep the muscles in my legs strong to help, but my left is still noticeably weaker than my right leg.

2nd worst injury?

Possibly one of the worst things that could happen to an artist. I accidentally slammed the fingers of my right hand, my art hand, in the back doors of my dad's van about 6 years ago. I didn't know how badly I had hurt my hand until I took my gloves off at work. Yeah, the nail on my pointer finger was right down the middle, bruised and bleeding BADLY, a good chunk of the side of the tip of said finger was GONE, middle finger was cut up on the left side, and my thumb was cut up badly and bruised as well.

Had to relearn how to draw, write, paint, ink, hold ANYTHING in that hand, because it turned out that I had broken the bone on the tip of my pointer finger. Couldn't afford a doctor at the time, no insurance, so I had to let it heal on it's own. The nails, of course, fell off, I put splints on the middle and pointer fingers, and I now have partial loss of the feeling on those fingers.

However, in a weird way, that is actually a GOOD thing, as I can work on my inking for more hours with less pain when holding my inking brush. XP

I was in the second grade... Did a cartwheel off the coffee table.
Broke my arm.
That wasn't a good idea after all...
Then when I went to get my cast off, the electric saw or whatever cut through the cast and onto my skin...
I have a long scar on my forearm because of this.

a scrape on my knee from missing a step with sharp edges..

I broke the bones in my foot on several spots and my heel tendon (i think its called) snapped... that was the most painful...

the most nastylooking was when i dropped from the highest ramp in a skating hall with my skatebord and drove into a leadpipe (in maybe 40-50 km/h) which hit me in the stomach (luckily it hit a skeleton part, or else i would probaby died)... it gave me a wound, with flesh litteraly sticking out of the stomach... i didnt notice it untill i noticed my shorts was all red...

also, one time i fell and landed on a pipe sticking out of the ground.... once again i was lucky as hell... i got the pipe IN my mouth, but it hit my front teeth so i didnt die...

several times ive hit my head so that my hair has turned red from the blood... i have also cut blood vessels a few times...

by the age of 12 i started to think i was either invincible or had an guardian angel...lol

A broken ankle that would have caused a growth deformity had I not gotten the surgery. I guess it's not so bad in retrospect.

Fell off a quad bike after trying to do a stunt, a very high jump. Crushed all my ribs on impact and if that wasn't bad enough the bike came crashing down on top of me.

On scene I was in agony, couldn't breathe, punctured lungs. Was anesthatised on scene and had a nasty breathing tube put in. Air lifted to hospital and literally do not remember a thing for 2 weeks because I was kept sedated on a ventilator in the ICU ward and had about 3 operations to repair my ribcage, lungs, blood transfusion. I've had another operation quite recently. My ribcage is held together with plates and pins.

Definitely the worst injury ever because of the lasting problems. Only now, just recently I've recovered properly both physically but mentally I'm not so sure. I now have very bad night terrors, scream in my sleep and get awful flashbacks. I'm determined to recover mentally by my own strength without help. I've already managed to get back on a quad bike so it shows progress.
