News stated that the Japanese developed a way to intercept incoming missiles, for ex. Ballistic Missiles. But the question is, will Japan, help or protect the United States, when a problem occurs. Also, the Japanese constitution states that they can not indulge themselves on foreign matters that is not affiliated with their homeland.

Even though, do you think they will help? Since, United States also claim, that they trained the Japanese and helped them. What do you think?

The U.S. and Japan are allied and like each other a lot. Japan would of course help as we would help them.

Yes, but it was also clearly stated that Japan would less likely do it, since their constitution states that they wont indulge themselves in such matters, I would highly doubt that "liking each other" would be enough to cross a constitutional line.

It would not overstep bounderies as their homeland is allied with us. Therefore it concerns them and I believe they would help us. We wrote their constitution anyway after World War 2 and we perceive what goes over the line and I do not think that we would judge it unconstitutional.

^^ Somehow I feel the same. Though as skygod said, allied countries do tend to help each other and they always do, but if you think of what happened before, I would kind of have some doubts, but we really wouldnt know, so I guess, US just have to ask some info from them since they also spent money for it, they shouldve gotten something out of their contribution, and device one for themselves. To make sure of America's safety against future attacks.

~ Please refer to video link up there, Kurt Campbell's (Former Deputy Asst. Defense Secretary) notion: Japan's consitution forbids.....~

It's a sad thing but if we didn't stop them, the world would probably be taken over by Nazis, then and now. So, like 10,000+ people, or... the whole entire world... hmm... Plus Japan wouldn't be "awesome" as it is now, if they weren't nuked. Truth.

I see no reason why they wouldn't help. There is no significant ill relations between the two. Yeah I know the US nuked them first but come one would you rather have 1.5 mil Japanese and US soldiers tainting the ground crimson?

no offense to the americans here but the United States of America lets just say obviously isnt the most well liked country in the world i would more so worry about Russia with Vladamir Putin as their President angered dictators definetely spells out disaster especially with the economic woes in Russia economy but yet again America is losing influence as time progresses especially with their sadiated-less war efforts those type of ideals arent well liked by the international public plus with bush's stupid promises to South America and all that he just screwed America even more XD

hmm not likely yet again Canada has more International influence than the states do not as much as before since our less negotiable approach and more similar approach
to the americans the japanese have more reason to help Canada why because to further more resurrect their place in this world Canada is seen as an emblem of peace and alot of countries respect that

haha yea that is true but yet again we have so many allies theirs no relative need for an army being influential is a far greater power than a strong militarized country i dont see much to worry about as of now
