You'll feel dumb when you are roasting in a jet fueled fire in Hell.

So you don't actually have a substantial answer for me... okay.

Then why should I feel dumb? You're the one who's believing in something that has no scientific evidence to support it.
Should I feel dumb and -- more importantly -- should I burn in hell just because I wasn't gullible enough to believe in a bigoted, archaic fairytale that has no scientific evidence what so ever to prove itself?
If God really exists, then he should've provided some objective, empirical evidence to support the hypothesis of his existence. Instead, there is none.

Me not believing in something that has no evidence to support it, and whose teachings has been disproven time and time again is not dumb. It's rational.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzNlmKi_5Qk <--- If there's anything you should feel dumb about, it's believing in crap like this.
Of course, that's not all. Because Islam is built upon christianity, which is built upon judaism, you can take the debunking of every myth from those two religions and apply it to Islam as well. Like this for instance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IPGwAf0Ivw

I think life is far, far more meaningful when you actually have an understanding of how it works and what it means.

In other words, an understanding of the world around you as a result of science, not the words that you found in a very old book.

I believe life has more meaning when you are willing to look for and truly understand why life is the way it is and not just be satisfied with the answer "god did it" Not to say there is anything wrong with believing in god, I believe there is a god myself. What I don't believe in is using god as a crux for the answer to everything we don't understand. The human race would have gotten nowhere if everyone was willing to just accept "god did it" as an answer. The dark ages is prime example of what that leads to.

Life is honestly what you make of it. God or any higher belief is a proxy to your happiness. Although I may be a Christian, I believe that life should not be directed by a higher deity of any kind, but rather be a guide. However once again, that's totally up to every individual's choice. The ultimate reason behind one's life being meaningful is the right of choice. An individual has the right to decide his own fate and future. With that in mind, God, Allah, or whomever you believe are mere guides to your life and should not be a primary reason to one's life being meaningful or not. Vanity and self-desire is not necessarily a bad thing, and living life for yourself before others does not make you a bad person. Once again, this is a personal opinion based on my own personal experience and insight so don't take it offensively or to heart! ^^'

Think about it this way. If you go through life feigning your happiness, pretending to like people you don't like, conforming to societies view on things such as tattoos, piercings, music taste and so on, spend a large portion of your life studying subjects and fields you aren't even interested in just because it's socially acceptable to get a practical job with a stable income and then going on to spend the rest of your life in a dead-end job, never looking forward to going to work in the morning and feeling drained by the time you get home, forcing yourself to marry someone you don't love because you've reached an age where if you don't settle down you'll be considered abnormal but at the end of the day, you're Religious. You believe in a higher power. Does this mean you lived a meaningful life? Can you look back and say you wouldn't change a thing? Life is in your hands. Life is your own.

any religion is good as long as you are doing good, to yourself, to others and to the environment

God is not something that is proven neither is anything after death its impossible to find out if life after death or something beyond death exists though god or religion might give you meaning to power on through life and some people might think that after death you re-live your life or become a new person but death might just be a dream but the existence of god or if you believe in him or not saying your life has no meaning if not believing in something I personally think is fictional is saying that your life is worthless and to live you do need something to believe in or live for otherwise you will likely fall into a hole of despair but belief doesn't change the value of your life

Worshiping an entity for an eternity is not a good end. Esp one that is so concerned about your sexual habits and not eating shrimp.

You can have a meaningful life without god.

Animated videos narrated by Stephen Fry; so they are worth watching.
(Heck him reading a phone book would be worth watching.)
