ok poeple i just found out on a chinese webset and it said they ve STOPPED filming it in 2008

The reason y they stopped:

ok,basiclly
when they just started filmin the drama for a week the public(fans of SB) complained about all sorts of stuff, like:they are not good enogh, the pairing is not good(kyoko and ren),they shouldnt make a anime into a drama before japan does.......etc
They havent decided weather they want to stop filming or change the casts
And i saw LOTS of people writing very harsh and bad stuff about it Image and yeah, they r rely not happy bout it......

so thats why they stopped,i personally think that its mainly becoz of the pairing and the fact that they shouldnt make a drama before japan does(coz japanes are better @ actting out a charactor wid a big personality-like kyoko, and ren's attitude)
hope that helped, but if they dont change the casts and start to film again i ll die from too much depression..................lol

P.S:Im NOT lying bout this i woldnt do something like that, and also im chinese so i can read my first languege!!!!!
i found it on :

anyone whos chinese can prove im not lying

I think its a good thing coz i dont think it ll be as good as the anime ><

-_- that site doesn't really say that... it just says:
2008- Extravagant Challenge - postponed...
said nothing about permanent stop and none of those reasons you gave
also if u read the official release document from the Japanese company which had put it on hold, you will know that its been postponed- but is said that it will continue. also there is news that the actors are willing to wait for it as well. so please don't start rumours like this.
Thanks

I do think Japan needs to make a drama for Skip Beat. They tend to stick to the manga and the characters very well.
Usually with taiwanese/chinese, etc... they always feel the need to change a lot of things, which is annoying. They change even the names, and the setting which annoys me greatly, like in Meteor Garden, instead of being High School student they are college students... i mean even small things like that get changed. It's annoying as heck

and i understand that. But why base something off of a japanese manga then if you're going to just change things anyways.
It's because they are like the US... they can't come up with anything original any more so they base things off of mangas now, I mean they have been doing that for ages now but it seems it's becoming more and more popular to do that.
I feel that the only ones who have total rights to do that are the japanese creators. At least we know simple things like names and setting won't be hard for them to get.

I'm happy and sad. I really didn't want to see the live action that's not Japanese but I was still curious to see how they would do. Though, I only had low expectations. I didn't like the pairing at all.

hi. but if u look at the 1st article look at the date 2009-01-08- this was when the first new of it being postponed came up... often times other news sources will dramatize new to draw readers. but thats y i tend to like to stick to the official site's release- As for baidu- yep sometimes its a good place to get new. but u know anyone can post- and the complaints dont really mean anything cus there will always be some fans and some against- specially on manga adaptations- and skip beat being so popular will also get lots of responses when being made into a drama.
im not saying ur trying to start rumours. but by saying 'stopped' it makes it seem as permanently ended when rather its better phrases to say put on 'indefinite hold' (which isnt the same as stopped) as the official article has said.

but the thing is that the Japanese were actually in support of this drama- actually the reason y its postponed was that the japanese company had a change in management or something and said something about script review. (company is Interchanel btw) also apparently Nakamura? the manga author had chosen Jerry herself so... u know? its not like the Japanese were against it- in fact i think I read that they wanted to support Taiwan making it b/c they wanted it more international. which if u think about it more ppl know chinese than japanese (more countries as well) so it makes sense.

Ariel Lin for Kyoko? Seriously? I could live with the drama being filmed and I don't have anything against the Chinese or their dramas because I just wouldn't watch it and that's it, but Ariel Lin? That's the worst possible choice they could have made, ok, second worse, they could have put a man to play Kyoko. I'm not a type to take these things to heart, if they want to do it and if someone allowed them to, then they can do whatever they want, obviously, but some things just push my buttons. Why didn't they take someone who is more like Kyoko? I've seen Ariel Lin's "acting" and I'm not speaking out on a whim here, it's quite easy to be sure that she won't do a good job there. But I'll check it out if it comes out, just a bit to see if my predictions were correct.

I never said that the japanese didn't support it.

It's just how the fans feel though. Plus for me it's a personal opinion. I still find I think the japanese pull of the feel of the manga way better. NOt saying I won't give this a chance because I love Skip Beat. SO I'll want to see how they adapt the manga into a live action drama.
