I'll add one as well. It's not nearly as long as the ones that were posted before, but, it's still really encouraging. It comes from the hymn A Debtor To Mercy Alone by Augustus M. Toplady.

My name from the palms of His hands
Eternity will not erase,
Impressed on His heart it remains
In marks of indelible grace.

my fickle, feeble soul alas,
would fall a thousand times a day.

(Sorry guys, I don't thinks the pictures will show Up)

The average age of the military man is 19 years.
He is a short haired, tight-muscled kid who,
under normal circumstances is considered by
society as half man, half boy. Not yet dry behind
the ears, not old enough to buy a beer, but old
enough to die for his country. He never really
cared much for work and he would rather wax
his own car than wash his father's, but he has
never collected unemployment either.

He's a recent High School graduate; he was probably
an average student, pursued some form of sport
activities, drives a ten year old jalopy, and has a
steady girlfriend that either broke up with him when
he left, or swears to be waiting when he returns from
half a world away. He listens to rock and roll or hip-hop
or rap or jazz or swing and a 155mm howitzer.

He is 10 or 15 pounds lighter now than when he
was at home because he is working or fighting
from before dawn to well after dusk. He has
trouble spelling, thus letter writing is a pain for him,
but he can field strip a rifle in 30 seconds and
reassemble it in less time in the dark. He can recite
to you the nomenclature of a machine gun or grenade
launcher and use either one effectively if he must.

He digs foxholes and latrines and can
apply first aid like a professional.

He can march until he is told to stop,
or stop until he is told to march.

He obeys orders instantly and without hesitation,
but he is not without spirit or individual dignity.
He is self-sufficient.

He has two sets of fatigues: he washes one and wears
the other. He keeps his canteens full and his feet dry.

He sometimes forgets to brush his teeth, but never
to clean his rifle. He can cook his own meals, mend
his own clothes, and fix his own hurts.

If you're thirsty, he'll share his water with you; if you
are hungry, his food. He'll even split his ammunition
with you in the midst of battle when you run low.

He has learned to use his hands like weapons
and weapons like they were his hands.

He can save your life - or take it, because that is his job.

He will often do twice the work of a civilian, draw half the pay, and still find ironic humor in it all.

He has seen more suffering and death than he should have in his short lifetime.

He has wept in public and in private, for friends
who have fallen in combat and is unashamed.

He feels every note of the National Anthem vibrate through his body while at rigid attention, while
tempering the burning desire to 'square-away ' those
around him who haven't bothered to stand,
remove their hat, or even stop talking.

In an odd twist, day in and day out, far from
home, he defends their right to be disrespectful.

Just as did his Father, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather, he is paying the price for our freedom. Beardless or not, he is not a boy.
He is the American Fighting Man that has
kept this country free for over 200 years.

He has asked nothing in return, except
our friendship and understanding.
Remember him, always, for he has earned our
respect and admiration with his blood.

And now we even have women over there in
danger, doing their part in this tradition of going
to War when our nation calls us to do so.

As you go to bed tonight, remember this shot. . .

A short lull, a little shade and a picture of
loved ones in their helmets.

Prayer wheel for our military... please don't
break it Please send this on after a short prayer.

Prayer Wheel

'Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the selfless acts
they perform for us in our time of need. Amen.'

When you receive this, please stop for a moment
and say a prayer for our ground troops in
Afghanistan , sailors on ships, and airmen
in the air, and for those in Iraq , Afghanistan
and all foreign countries.

There is nothing attached...
This can be very powerful...

Of all the gifts you could give a US Soldier,
Sailor, Coastguardsman, Marine,
or Airman, prayer is the very best one.

I can't break this one, sorry.
Pass it on to everyone and pray.

THE PASTOR'S CAT..

This particular story just made me laugh. Every time I think about it, the
vision of that poor cat just amuses me to no end. Hope the story leaves a
bright spot in your day.

Dwight Nelson recently told a true story about the pastor of his church. He
had a kitten that climbed up a tree in his backyard and then was afraid to
come down. The pastor coaxed, offered warm milk, etc.

The kitty would not come down.

The tree was not sturdy enough to climb, so the pastor decided that if he
tied a rope to his car and pulled it until the tree bent down, he could then
reach up and get the kitten.

That's what he did, all the while checking his progress in the car. He then
figured if he went just a little bit further, the tree would be bent
sufficiently for him to reach the kitten. But as he moved the car a little
further forward, the rope broke. The tree went 'boing!' and the kitten
instantly sailed through the air - out of sight.

The pastor felt terrible. He walked all over the neighborhood asking people
if they'd seen a little kitten. No. Nobody had seen a stray kitten.

So he prayed, 'Lord, I just commit this kitten to your keeping,' and went on
about his business. A few days later he was at the grocery store, and met
one of his church members. He happened to look into her shopping cart and
was amazed to see cat food. This woman was a cat hater and everyone knew it,
so he asked her, 'Why are you buying cat food when you hate cats so much?'
She replied, 'You won't believe this,' and then told him how her little girl
had been begging her for a cat, but she kept refusing. Then a few days
before, the child had begged again, so the Mom finally told her little girl,
'Well, if God gives you a cat, I'll let you keep it...' She told the pastor,
'I watched my child go out in the yard, get on her knees, and ask God for a
cat. And really, Pastor, you won't believe this, but I saw it with my own
eyes. A kitten suddenly came flying out of the blue sky, with its paws
outspread, and landed right in front of her.'

Lesson learned:

Never underestimate the Power of God and His unique sense of humor.

My wife found this one.

You are in your car driving home. Thoughts wander to the game you want to see or meal you want to eat, when suddenly a sound unlike any you've ever heard fills the air. The sound is high above you. A trumpet? A choir? A choir of trumpets? You don't know, but you want to know.. So you pull over, get out of your car, and look up. As you do, you see you aren't the only curious one. The roadside has become a parking lot. Car doors are open, and people are Staring at the sky. Shoppers are racing out of the grocery store. The Little League baseball ! game across the street has come to a halt. Players and parents are searching the clouds And what they see, and what you see, has never before been seen.

As if the sky were a curtain, the drapes of the atmosphere part. A brilliant light spills onto the earth. There are no shadows. None.

From every hue ever seen and a million more never seen. Riding on the flow is an endless fleet of angels. They pass through the curtains one myriad at a time, until they occupy every square inch of the sky.

North. South. East. West.

Thousands of silvery wings rise and fall in unison, and over the sound of the trumpets, you can hear the cherubim and seraphim chanting, Holy, holy, holy... The final flank of angels is followed by twenty-four silver-bearded elders and a multitude of souls who join the angels in worship.

Suddenly, the heavens are quiet. All is quiet. The angels turn, you turn, the entire world turns and there He is...Jesus.

Through waves of light you see the silhouetted figure of Christ the King. He is atop a great stallion, and the stallion is atop a billowing cloud. He opens his mouth, and you are surrounded by his declaration:

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last.

The angels bow their heads...The elders remove their crowns...And before you is a Figure so consuming that you know, instantly you know: Nothing else matters...Forget stock markets and school reports...Sales meetings and football games. Nothing is newsworthy...All that mattered, matters no more...For Christ has come to take away his church and it is time for the anti-christ to take over and rule the world. The moment of eternal joy has come for his people and the moment of suffering for those who reject him is at hand.

This morning when the Lord opened a window to Heaven, he saw me, and he asked: My child, what is your greatest wish for today?

I responded: 'Lord please; take care of my family, my friends, the person who is reading this message, their family and their special friends. I pray that they also are believers in you. I pray they too know you as Lord and savior'.

The love of God is like the ocean, you can see its beginnings but not its end.

This message works on the day you receive it.

To some it may sound dumb, but the person who sent this to me was impressed with its timing. Let us see if it is true.

ANGELS EXIST, but sometimes, since they don't all have win gs we call them FRIENDS, SUCH AS YOU.

I make up more and more as I study the Word and learn about God. I have a lot of them written down somewhere, but I can't find it right now. However, one other saying that I am fond of using that I made up goes like this:

"Faith without works is dead. Works without faith is sin."

Dear God,
I'm writing to say I'm sorry
For being angry yesterday
When you seemed to ignore my prayer
And things didn't go my way

First, my car broke downI was very late for work
But I missed that awful accident
Was that your handiwork?
I found a house I loved
But others got there firstI was angry, then relieved
When I heard the pipes had burst!

Yesterday, I found the perfect dress
But the color was too pale
Today, I found the dress in red
Would you believe, it was on sale!

I know you're watching over me
And I'm feeling truly blest
For no matter what I pray for
You always know what's best!

I have this circle of E-mail friends,
Who mean the world to me;
Some days I "send" and "send,"
At other times, I let them be.
I am so blessed to have these friends,
With whom I've grown so close;
So this little poem I dedicate to them,
Because to me they are the "Most"!

When I see each name download,
And view the message they've sent;
I know they've thought of me that day,
And "well wishes" were their intent.
So to you, my friends, I would like to say,
Thank you for being a part;Of all my daily contacts,
This comes right from my heart.

God bless you all is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until we write again.
