If Japan made a drama version of Skip Beat, who would you want the actors to be?

I actually think he could pull off Ren's smile (the bright fake one and the gentle sincere ones) better than any Japanese actor that I can think of right now. In my opinion, the smile is a major part of Ren's character, because Kyoko freaks about it all the time. The cool nonchalant attitude has been done before. Plus, he is a great actor... meaning he can pull off Ren's talent as an actor. I mean, comparing his roles in Kimi Wa Petto, Gokusen, Hana Yori Dango, I'm In Love With My Sister, Kindaichi, etc etc. ... what's so unsuitable?

Shirota Yuu remains one of my top choices one of the main reasons I like him as Ren is because of his height and looks we don't necessarily need mainstream actors for these roles...

I didn't say he was SO unsuitable nor did I mention about his acting skills. I'm not trying to be mean or something like that... but is just because he's too short ...I completely believe in his abilities as an actor. I totally loved him (and still do) in Hana Yori Dango, Kimi wa petto, Bambino, Gokusen, etc. But one of Ren's characteristics is that he is really tall and also that he's half Japanese... I totally love Matsujun and I do think he can pull off a great Ren. But I'd also like the actors to have as much resemblance as possible to the manga characters... I know it might be impossible, but is just my opinion... Finding someone that resembles Ren and that is a great actor might be impossible though... :( Sorry, I don't want to offend anyone...

Ren's really tall with long legs... just like Sho. There was scene about the long legs... Didn't mean to put words in your mouth, but you are right about the height. Jun would be too short.
