Low self esteem~ Mostly is because the environment is unfamiliar to us. We feel out of it hence we become shy.

Some guys too.

But anyway, everyone has a "shy" in them.

Who wouldn't be "Shy" at a whole new school with no one you know?

Did you ever had a new transferred Asian girl to your scool? I had but she became my girlfriend, she only talks to me and my friends doesn't feel comfortable meeting new people.I wanted to help boost my girlfriends personality but that made it worse.I asked if she would want to join acting just like me she turned down the offer.I thought acting can give her spirit a boost so she won't be shy anymore.

Anyway why is some Asian girls so shy?

Oh my god. That's a bad move. Acting? Oh god. Since your girlfriend doesn't speak much, what's the point of asking her to join acting where you need to speak a lot? You gotta make your girlfriend open up to people first, like introducing her to more friends and 'dragging' her into conversations with others. AND! make sure your friends doesn't embarrass her or she will try her best to keep quiet next time. So the main problem is that she's afraid she will embarrass herself in front of people which most asians do. Like me. I'm the same. I don't speak up until i really have to.

I don't think they are shy.

We once had an asian exchange student at my school (one grade below).
My friends and I called her over to sit with us and we bought her lunch and talked for hours. She was not shy at all.
And we had never talked to her before that.

Some people are born to be shy no matter where they are from.

If you forgot to add something then just edit your first post.

Maybe she's not shy. Have you asked her that yourself?

But that would be absurd to ask her that since being shy is natural.
It's like asking, "Why is your nose like that?" IMO.
