Everyone can act like a kid sometimes. My hubby is in his 30's and he still play video games everyday. Not just video games but pc games as well. Everytime there's a new game out, he's always telling me he wants to get it or I can get it for him for Christmas. There is a time to be a kid and there is a time to be an adult.

i dont think they are most games takes a lot of thinking and stratagies are needed for some as well and fighting you need to work your timing technically all games needs concentration yeah games a for kids but these games arent as they are really complicated expecially the more technical one's with weapons in it as well as machines, and very long story lines

lol seriously??? wow I guess I'll have more luck than the other girls I know XD I love video games, and I've never met a SINGLE GIRL who plays video games like I do. O.o back on track... if you play M rated games it's obviously not childish... jk uhhhh video games are not childish as long as you're not a sore loser. even if you play video games designed for children, that's still playing video games, it's just the way you play/handle video games that make it childish. |

It depends on the game, I think.
People at my school always told me to grow up, which I thought was unfair because they really liked Elmo and stuff, that's worse in my opinion. >_> |

It's to kill time and its fun even adults play it.

I say it depends on the content of the game. A game like Nocturne isn't childish but something like Barbie is. Simple as that.

it depends on the game. I mean come on if you're still playing games like those stupid spongebob games of course your childish. But depending on your opinion video games are are childish or it can make you mature. Gaming has progressed through the years (I might be young but i can have an opinion too) and so has the public's view on gaming. If you think the video games are childish go ahead, but lots of games have AMAZING stories, and some are just plain fun. In my opinion video games in all will never be childish, because it will remain part of society for years and now hundreds of thousands of dollars are spent on them. You call them childish i call them 1337.

I guess this topic is absolutely unnecessary, clearly every game is rated by the ESRB, which shows that there is gamer at every age level. So by no means, people who play games are childish.
In fact I think people should talk about how games are now helping people in many other fields. |
