Do impracticle combative martial art styles exists?

i want to know what do you consider impracticle as a whole.

im not focusing on impracticle techniques or weakness and strs of certain martial arts. Im talknig about as an entire combative system.

if u dont know ne thing about marial arts, here's a website to give you insight on just a few of the 10000s of arts.(combativly)

http://www.combativeartsacademy.com/classes/escrima.asp

also, is it possible to make an impracticle style (if they exists) practicle if it is not? Is there ne real evidence to support such a thoery to begin with?

well a lot of martial arts (such as tae kwon do) was more of a form of dancing (martial means war, and art is well...art. so in other words martial arts literally mean war like arts)

so yeah there are flashy kicks that look pretty cool but if you were to use that in a real fight you would get your ass handed to you unless your areally experienced fighter and you execute it perfectly at the right timing

no, taekwondo started as a combative art in the Korean military. it eventually evolved into a sport and form of dancing.

http://www.combativeartsacademy.com/classes/taekwondo.asp

other sites say the same thing about TKD as this one. This particular school trains it as a combative art, right up there with jeet kune do, muy thai, escrima, ju jitsu, and other martial arts particularly known for combat effectiveness.I think when u train ne art for combat, it becomes effective. and fighting does depend on the individual.

The reason why so many people pick on TKD is because its so popular and its an olympic sport, and everyone knows it. So since so many people know it, its hard to find the guys who r actually masters of it.Like ne thing in this world, the more u have of it, the more value it losses.
u got guys who have trained in TKD as a sport at 3 yrs old, quit it after they lose one fight. ignorant to the fact thst they trained it as a sport.

the reason why i started this thread was to pick on guys who love to pick on TKD as if it was some useless art form. I argued with this one guy in my ju jitsu class about it. i shed light on his ignorance, and he never spoke of TKD in a bad way again. peace over war

actually the roots of taekwondo can be traced back to when the japanese invaded korea, and koreans needed a way to defend themselves. They borrowed moves from kung fu and made their own style (or so i've heard)

Yea I know taekwondo can actually be used, but what i'm saying is that nowadays people use it more as a sport/dancing rather than fighting
