^Yeah, that's an argument. But the surrounding is much more important in these things. When children ask "hey dad, why is that man kissing another man", dad's answer will influence their opinion much more anyway.

digs, only portraying straight couples is brainwashing them to thinking that only man and woman can fall in love, no?

^ Then why did they buy/borrow the book? And if the dad answers in a negative way, then he is a bad parent. And is like one of the people Kaizer is talking about, the 'real men', eh? Well it can teach the child to prove their parent wrong, because parents also brainwash their own children.

If they ever watch MTV as a teenager then they won't be. Like 50% of what is on there has to do with gay people. And not really. I don't think kids need to be exposed to sexuality or sex for that matter at young ages. They will hear about homosexuality from somewhere, and they will have to think about what their standpoint on it is. Everyone is entitled to their opinion or beliefe. If they become anti homoesuxual then i don't care. If they are radical then thats a problem. but even gays who are radical offend some straight people. I am just saying believe what you wan't, but don't force it down people's throat.

I'm not forcing it down anyone's throat. Choose to read, choose to listen, choose to agree. I'm not walking up to you, and pestering you face to face to accept homosexuals. People are entitled to their own opinions and beliefs and some are full of ignorance. And ignorance does no good for the world, now does it?

And MTV does help, but doesn't stop the whole fact. People still hate homosexuals, and still discriminate because of the dumbest reasons possible. And don't kid with the 50% thing, that's not true. It's more like 15-20%? And the people who 'say' they accept gays crack gay jokes, use the word "gay" in the wrong ways all the time, and don't see that they're doing anything wrong.

I'm sorry but homosexuality shouldn't be excluded from childhood, Lets say in a world where homosexuality was superior. Cinderella was Jakeberella, and many people wanted to ban Children's books dealing with heterosexuality. (Now lets not get realistic past this point, like how population will be much lower, just IMAGINE population is same. Except for amount of homosexuals.) You digs, are still who you are, straight, and etc. What is your thoughts on the bannings of heterosexual books (in this world)?

Children shouldn't be forced to makr that desision that young. would you tell a child about sex when it is that young? I think it should be addressed in the teen years along with sex and other things. Kids are easy to brainwash, so what you tell them @ that age is what they will basically believe.

Make what decision? Sex? What has sex have to do with this? Homosexuality /= Sex.
Heterosexuality /= Sex. Where did you even get the idea of sex? I never even discussed it until now. If they find out in their teens years, that's waaay to late. And telling them at a young age or in your words "brainwashing" them at a young age, they'll basically believe it. And that is EXACTLY the point. The way your using "brainwash", your just saying everything is "brainwash", History books are "brainwash", books are "brainwash" and everything is "Brainwash". It just matters if the "Brainwash" is positive or negative "brainwash", and knowing homosexuality is normal is a POSITIVE "Brain wash.

\/ And just like how Dad plays with his baby girl "Mr. Finger, explores the 'Dark Hole' "

Now I know that someone on here is gonna go..."but it says in the bible that man shall not lay with another man" well look deep enough in the bible and you will find justifications for slavery, genocide, murder, ect. The problem with the Bible is that it was written by humans. And we are a flawed species so it stands to reason that anything created by us is equally flawed. What was that saying..."history is written by the victors"? The same can be said about that little book everyone puts so much faith in. It's just a book...just literature....filled with great teachings and ideas not to mention great SYMBOLISM. It wasn't meant to be taken literally like some of those crazy fundamentalist do. Once again, this is just my opinion...but I feel that most people would benefit more by reading the Bible and taking away the ideas behind the stories not the literal meaning of the stories themselves.

Too true. And if you read on the qoute reads, "And man that shall lay with another man as he should with a woman, he must be stoned until he is dead." I say that very line all the time.

You know what makes me sad...I can't believe that there are still people who believe that being raised by a gay couple will make the child gay. That's like saying that a black child adopted by a white family will suddenly change the color of their skin. It's not a choice...people are BORN gay. Why would anyone in their right mind CHOOSE a lifetime of torment and ridicule? I mean really, if you were given the choice to either be persecuted for who you loved or to live a "normal" life...do you honestly say to yourself...."hmmm....I think I'd like to be threatened and potentially beated to death by knuckle-dragging, close-minded retards solely on the basis that I'd rather not sleep with the opposite sex."

yeah, i agree. as long as you do your duty and take responsibility for your actions, everything should come out fine. the only reason it's hard to live as a gay couple is because of irresponsibility, discrimination, or just outside interference... ahaha, good luck to those who try.

As far as I'm concerned it's perfectly OK for gay people to have children. To the people who are worried about logistics, haven't you ever heard of surrogacy and IVF? For years lesbians have been enduring sex with men just to have kids, and gay men have gone into sham marriages just to have kids, to the detriment of all involved. Let them make use of modern technology to produce kids. How can their sexuality affect their parenting? The fact that gays have to go to such great lengths to even have kids means that they will be loving, committed parents, and may well take that committment more seriously than a straight couple who produce a child by accident.

I agree with starcrossed that people are born gay and it isn't a result of being "exposed" to gayness. All the gay people I have discussed it with say so. And if it were a result of parenting, how do we explain the fact that most of the gays who exist now resulted from straight parents.

It doesn't really matter to me even i have such parents, they are humans too we do not have the right to brainwash others that homos are wrong or something. We just need to know that all of us are humans beings, we have emotions and have the right to love or hate somebody, we do not need to get controlled by some idiots who likes to discriminate others which are of the same race (humans). People who rejects them are actually people who are hating themselves, have they ever though about what if they were gays, do they want to be treated like what they would treat others? I doubt it, if they did i don't think that there would be any opposition to that. Anyway its their own choice its not right nor wrong. It will have to depend on how you think. And childrens even without normal childhood lifes, there are others like neighbours, friends, relatives around them who could show them other examples like straights, homos and heteros. I doubt that any parents would be brainwashing their child about which partner should you choose. The child would be able to decide their partner. Anyways I agree that homos are great parents, since they will be more feminine than normal man. Anyway the people does not create shonen-ai, shojo-ai, yaoi and yuri for nothing you know. Although some people could not accept it, it will soon die out, with people who are unique thats what makes life more interesting and exciting doesn't it? Without unique people do you think we could be having anime when people doesnt look into 2D characters?
