Gintoki an Amanto. lol The thought just occurred to me when he was able to defeat the King of Night, someone that even Kamui had difficulty with. He surprised his comrades! Gintoki just sort of beat him up real bad. It would be pretty funny if he did turn out to be an amanto, though that wouldn't have been possible because Gintoki was born before the amanto came (Unless there was a massive plot twist) God, Kamui looks like a psycho there Gintoki is so strong because he's just downright awesome!!!

But if Gin is an Amanto, my best guess would be that he's part Yato. He can't be the speed kind because he isn't addicted to speed and he has taken blows that would kill and grown stronger from them! Diluted Yato blood = incredible strength and skill, but without the problem of the sun.
