What kind of OTAKU do you hate?
Posted 7/31/09
What's there to hate about them? :D

Also, to all the people on this thread who are saying, "I'm one myself," I think some of you are not quite getting what the definition of otaku is...I mean, just because you watch lots of anime it doesn't make you an anime otaku. If you've seen so many anime series you can't even keep track, are totally devoted to those anime, rarely leave your house because of it (unless of course, to buy anime/manga and figurines and stuff...which totally clutters your room already, and you don't need anymore), go to tons of anime conventions, and cosplay a lot, join like 50 million sites devoted to anime, then that pretty much right there is an anime otaku. Ok, that might've been a little bit exaggerated...

But my point is, if your passion (whether it be games, anime, manga, personal computers) somewhat gets in the way of you having a social life, THEN you are considered otaku.

Believe me, people have called me ani-ota (which I don't mind, and I just let them think that XD) but it really isn't true. People assume someone's an anime otaku because that person might know just a little bit more about anime than they do.
I've also seen people who think they know everything about anime, and think that dubbed anime is the ONLY form of anime that exists (like, hello? where did it come from? XD) and only rely on Shonen Jump or other magazines for the "latest" chapters of their favorite manga LOL

But like I said, the same is true for people who are otaku of other things...not just anime

Im a manga Otaku.
But I hate those you aren't even japanese but say stuff in japanese. Its kind of tiring. Baka, and Kawaii is okay, but sometimes, they go alittle overboard! XD

Get the Otaku Style, I didn't know there are classes of Otaku...
I mean: I love Manga, Anime, Computers and Games at the same time...
But that doesn't mean I'm an Ultimate Otaku, just a modern kid~ xD
And I think it's dumb to hate a class of people, even the putting in order in classes itself is dumb...
I dislike it, when people say, for example, they hate Asians, cuz they had a bad experience with one person in China...
Why hate a whole country/land/etc, when it was just one person, and above everything that example was somehow racism, I'm sorry for that... ^^°
