Now that people have to pay for the anime, how much does crunchyroll profit? As well does anyone know how much of the anime membership is going to the actual anime companies?

ok well the make a huge some of profit for 1 person and about 30-50 percent goes to the anime companies, another about 5-20 percent for maintnance, and the rest for bandwith, and they don't even have half of the bandwith so they advertise alot of thing on the site.

don't take these number literally it just an estimate i might be off

he probably keeps like 10 cents per month on each membership at max if this is the only thing he does for a living.

CR had their first profitable month in May, so they do not profit as much as most people think.

They are hiring people to the company so they are not "not" profiting as much as you think. Just because they're not profiting on paper doesn't mean they're not expensing goods on taxes.

The last time I checked, salaries and wages were legitimate expenses and can in no way be considered part of the profit, unless you're implying Shinji is hiring a lot of friends and relatives that get paid for doing little to nothing.

Nope not saying that.

Expenses for the company can be all your meals, a Ferrari (for all we know), vacations (I mean business trips) and etc.
