I went for a week in January 9/10 it was awesome =D I went on these rollercoasters that the tour guide told me wwere the highest and fastest. and then i searched it up in wiki. OOH. the tourguide was a liar stupid tour guide. but I ate a lot of tempura xD and sashimi

Pardon me for being technical, but 'oishii/umai' isn't really said at the end of a meal. You could say 'oishii sou' if it looks good or 'oishikatta' after a meal if it tasted good.
Other than that, the traditional sayings are 'itadakimasu' at the beginning of the meal and 'gochisosama deshita' afterwards. Romaji looks silly to me now...haha..

Thank you, everyone who's posted here. :] Hearing your stories is really making me shed off the nervousness and fear of going.
I faxed in my application to go during the summer, and I'm anxiously awaiting results. x_x The anxiety is KILLING meee!
It should be here within the next 48 hours, so I'll post results here...

I was only there for like a month.
So I don't know much, but it was a good time.

9/10 because nothing is ever perfect in this world. ever.
and because I spent way too much money in Tokyo. -_________-;;;

I stayed with a homestay family, but only for a short part of the time.
They were nice though.
They took me too the bookstore. ^________________________________^ *happy foxie*
