Soooo ummm...yeah im in JP right now, its pretty decent, on the weekends i always hit up the clubs and different things that you do for entertainment over here. Word of advice though, bring shorts over here, reason being that its always sooo fucking humid. Anyways though, lmao, the red district does indeed exist here, its like window shopping, but here it turns from window shopping to auctually buying something, errr some1 i mean lmao. Anyways, the locals are good to go, but some places suck total DICK, the places that have NO AMERICANS posters, for example, are shitty. I swear, some Japanese are total douche bags, so if ur interested in Japanese culture, note that they are pretty much as rascist as us, if not more. Toodles, bitches...

I will be moving to Japan for 3 years in april of 2011, Right now its up in the air between mainland japan and okinawa. Hopefully I can get mainland because I will be in tokyo tearring up the karoke.
Also is it true that some places dont allow you in if you have visible tattoo's? Because I have the letters HK tattooed on my hand. |

They're usually bad for business, but I know where they're coming from. American tourists in Japan are, hands down, the most inconsiderate, rude, self-absorbed and entitled tourists that I've ever seen. Seriously, some of them are boorish as all hell and feel that the Japanese should worship them because they're ~*American*~. The Japanese are VERY xenophobic, and usually towards people that don't deserve it, but I say from personal experience, about 80% of American tourists in Japan deserve every bit of the shitty treatment that they may get. From Otaku to Jet-setters alike. |

That sucks, I love the Japanese and show respect to everyone. So I guess I will just have to frequent places and build a good relationship with people.

I have never been to Japan but I really wanna go. I was born in Hong Kong and I wanna go there too. I will probably visit both places in the same trip
but I need some serious cash to do that. Once I get to Japan I will probably spend a years wages on Anime and Manga merchandise ;-) |

One thing that I say - any country that you do this in, whether you like the people or not - you should always show the people there respect. Like it or not, you are basically an ambassador for your country in the eyes of the people there. |

My parents and two elder sisters lived there for like 10 years. Its a good place to visit, but not to live in. =P I've heard of the weeird stuff that goes on if youre a female. >_< My mom used to scare the shit outta me with her stories when i'm all like :WATASHIWA NIHONGO KAIRU-MASS DEKIRU KACHAN I WANNA GO JAPAN NOW" -_-

Pardon my Japanese.

yep, I'm here right now
I've lived here for 5 years and most of the people are nice and polite, but tend to specifically point out or sometimes poke fun at people who look like/or are foreigners. After living here for years, even I got tired of ramen XP Alcohol can be practically bought from Family Mart or vending machines (my friends always go out every friday <_<). I've been to lots of festivals and have a bowl full of fishes from the booths ^^ I don't go to a Japanese school though so I don't know how things work there, but my friend, who use to go to a Japanese school said the kids teased and bullied her because she was a foreigner. On the brighter side of things, Anime and Manga merchandise is easier to access and it isn't so weird to walk around in loli clothes/cosplay/...well not AS much -_- |
