Um, I realize it's another Japanese site, but there's another website from Toei Animation. When I was in Japan, I knew of a few others, but I forget. Oh well, as long as I'm supporting legal anime, I'm happy.

Seeing that I can't find any reports about those sites' legitimacy, I can't really add them to the list.
Thanks anyways.

No need to get mean and jerk-like about it... Just throwing those out there since I am clearly oblivious that these sites are illegal.

The sites themselves are not illegal. It's only the videos that are being uploaded to those types of sites from people that don't have permission (usually meaning they don't pay royalties) from those whom have the rights. Crunchyroll use to allow this until the revolution.

This is a compiled list of legal Anime streaming and downloading sites and their available Anime content.
I will try to keep this list as accurate and updated as possible.
Thanks for looking and enjoy.

Quick notes about these sites:
- Most of these services are only available for the North American audience, unless stated otherwise.
- All the streaming sites offer free viewing of their content.
- If an episode is available for download, usually a nominal fee is required, about $1.99.

Legends:
***= Complete Series
(-XX)= Latest Aired Episode
DUB= English Voice Overs
BOTH= English and English Subtitles
N/A= Not Available
TBA= To Be Aired

Streaming Sites:

crunchyroll: http://www.crunchyroll.com/
*http://www.crunchyroll.com/library/IndexAnime

- Basic membership lets the user view almost everything, but there is a "week" waiting period for the newer content.
- The site requires a Star Membership to use some of it’s features like “advanced” viewing, 480p or “720p” "quality," and to access some of it’s contents.
- Episodes can be purchased and downloaded here http://www.crunchyroll.com/store.

Hulu: http://hulu.com
*http://www.hulu.com/search/anime?sort_by=relevance&type=episode

- Like that of regular T.V. shows, there will be the "occasional" commercial breaks.
- Most of the videos allow the user to watch the video at either 360p to 480p quality.

IMDb: http://www.imdb.com/
*http://www.imdb.com/features/video/browse/tv/

- Credit to TheUndeadLord for the information
- "streams a few series as well. (nevermind, they're all courtesy of Hulu =/)" ~TheUndeadLord

Joost: http://www.joost.com/
*http://www.joost.com/epg/us/shows/animation/anime/o/channel/a-z/thumbnail/

- This is within the same ballpark as the Hulu description, with the exception of not having a 480p option.

FUNimation: http://www.funimation.com/
*http://www.funimation.com/video/

- Shows update weekly with maybe one or two episodes.
- Episodes are available for download for $1.99.

YouTube FUNimation Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/FUNimation

*http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/video/index.html

YouTube Bandai Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/BandaiEntertainment

- There is an HQ option.

[adult swim]: http://www.adultswim.com/
*http://www.adultswim.com/video/index.html

- All series are in English.

YouTube Kadokawa Entertainment Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/KADOKAWAanime

- Available Worldwide

Well, seeing that I haven't found any reports on their legimacy, like that of partnering with Anime studios and such, I can't really add that to the list. Anyways, thanks.

That DUBs and SUBs discussion is better left off for another topic.

Lastly, please edit your post, as having the entire list quoted looks like an eyesore. Thanks.

As nice as it is, it's pretty sad that they only have a few good animes out....for example Gintama.

Some of the animes that they have out is pretty lame and I doubt anybody even cares for them. .
