What do you do when a girl slaps you?

I've been in this situation with a girlfriend. Emotions can cause it to be very hard to control all actions. You may react without thinking and you will regret it later. The way I handled this is take the hit and make her feel guilty about it when she's calm later on. This is good for 2 reasons. 1. you prove you are the better person and will not lower yourself to that level. 2. you teach her to feel guilty about what she did. that will help her grow as a person...maybe she won't do it to the next guy she's with or worse, her kids...

If it's some stranger on the street that hits you just walk away or if she's crazy run away and call the police.
