Adolescence problems are a nuisance, but they're part of growing up.

There are a variety of causes. Most of these problems deal with friendships or bfs/gfs. It doesn't necessarily have to be a rumor, just gossip in general. Teens who don't have self-confidence like to put others down, and may make up a rumor. Others are just bigmouths and like to spread any dirt they can get. And then there are those who want attention and create drama about themselves.Personally, I think the school environment, where you're closely interacting with a large number of people all the time helps to contribute.

An example....

You deal with drama by ignoring it. It's only drama when somebody cares, and people only care if they see it affects you. Once they see you don't give a shit, it dies down.

You can avoid drama by not hanging around people who are bigmouths, backstabbers, or needy for attention. If a friend is in drama, and is trying to get you involved, politely say you don't need this and you'd prefer to stay neutral.

Thanks for the response. ^^ Shows that you can't really trust anyone. A lesson people learn in school. A similar situation happened to this girl at school she lied about getting pregnant a week, A WEEK, after sleeping with a guy then two weeks later she came in distraught saying that she lost the baby.

Meh, I think drama is the dumbest thing ever and CAN be prevented if certain teenagers kept their mouths shut. I'm fine though, never ever really had drama in my life, I avoid putting others down or hating people for no reason.

School drama is entertaining if it has nothing to do with you but sucks when it does.

Severe bullying and real fights on the other hand are no joke.

I liked spreading rumors through high school, that was fun! It was a group of like 5 people, we would pick a different
person each week, and invent stuff. And it would always work! School Drama is fun, sucks for the people
that are involved, but fun as hell for those outside observing. I remember when myspace became popular, like a few years
back. We used to spread rumors there, and it would turn into a riot at school. So, school drama, GOOD!

umm,
stuff happens all the time, you cant really avoid it but you just have to handle it in the most mature way possible.
for example there were rumors going around that i was bullemeic, and i was like what??? if i was bullemeic id be skinny, and not a fatass!!!
hahahha, it actually made me feel good you know because most bullemics are skinny. ahh i dont if thats a good example of "being mature" but hahahah whatever

i've been on a lot before. what i just did is ignore it. i don't even feel sorry for that person backstabbing me. well it's a good thing that person realize that she's causing too much drama, so she apologize to me like a million times. as of now, we're good friends. i wonder if she's still backstabbing me -.-

School drama is interesting and cool if it's for real.
Like, someone got sick (lawl) or a batch is against a stupid teacher.
It sucks if someone only wants attention and does it mainly just for boredom and self-satisfaction.

BTW, I'm always in trouble (but I don't call it drama, more like royal rumble / serious fights)
