Is God Real?

And moreover, God doesn't grant prayers for display... The evidence still shows that people who pray to the sun or two Odin have the same sasses rate as people who pray to god. What that shows is that there is nothing there to pray to or if there is, it just does not give a damn about your prayers. And if that is the case why pray to it? Then there was the research done on spirituality. Did you know the feelings you get as if god was with you, is just a reaction in the brain that happens no matter what religion or cult your part of. It is shown that anyone can create that filling of spirituality just by chanting and concentrating. So tell me do you have any proof of your god at all. If not, than how can you justify the brainwashing of children into your cult of choice. That is if it was your choice in the first place.. Or did you get brainwashed into as a child as well? But then people that are brainwashed as a child into a cult not going to admit being brainwashed into a cult as a child. (because they believe with all there heart its the fact! even if there is no evidence for that belief.) Just like how kids believe in Santa, because someone told them he is real... and He better be good your there is no gifts for you.. And if your bad he give you a lump of coal. It is not brainwashing...! It's called Faith believing in things you cannot see..... believing in things that cannot be explained by mere science... or by mere research,.... And you cannot compare God to Santa..... God gives blessings to those who do good and to those who don't... I don't know what kind of prayer you have that you think God didn't answer it.... Just because your prayer didn't get answered it means God doesn't give a damn about your life.... |

So in other words, Jesus died because of us. 'Did you see this?' There is no evidence of Jesus being a anything other than a leader of a very violent cult. At least the only time he is ever mentioned in history and not the bible that is what the historian had to say. ' Other than that all of his deeds, are nothing more than a copy from older pagan gods. Other words walking on water, raise the dead, heal the sick, born from a virgin, sacrificing one self for the sins of his people. (all Taken from other religions, Pagan religions at that.) Don't believe me look it up! The bible is mostly bits and pieces from other religions put together to make there own religion. (it is not the oldest known book - far from it. It is not the word of a God - far from it. It is the newest fad, and like all religious fads, it will be replaced with the next religion in another 100 to 1000 years from now. - willing to even bet on that !) Because history shows that to be the case, and people are doomed to repeat the past because they never learn from it. |

No written documents pointing out how some Jesus character was born of a virgin, or healed the sick. Died for our sins he died his cult fallowing would claim there leader died for there sin.. Because its how they justify his death wen the worshiped him the way they did. So based on the lack of evidence for any of the claims, add in the evidence found from earlier gods using those claims. Its only logical to deduct that the stories of his birth, life, and death are mostly if not all fabricated. |

' Till there is evidence for one of them over the other I can compare your God to the tooth fairy, Or Odin, or Zeus, Or Captain America. or Godzilla! Its all the same... As I pointed out in my one thread, If your going to say something is real its your job to show the evidence. If you say Cows can fly you have to show evidence that a cow can fly. There is no evidence that cows can not fly, it does not work that way. 'I am a very cynical yet fair and logical person.. And I will not allow grown people not to at least try to rationalize there Ideals. Because as much as you might not know it, your beliefs do affect others... From your children, to are state and the laws the rest of us have to put up with. Until you can admit that Santa and Loki is just as rational as God, and you look at them all with the same outlook and position. I my self do not believe you can really truly say you believe in anything, In other words because you shut of you brain or think your religion is above all other things and can not be challenged shows that brainwashing was indeed in affect. (sorry..) I think It would be pointless to explain a thing to someone who don't want to believe it.... Its not about not wanting to.. Its about thinking critically, And not just accepting something on faith alone. With out evidence it is the same as someone believing in Any other Mythology. Do you Believe in Zeus? Or Odin? How about the Monkey God, or Gaia, maby Mythos? NO? Than what evidence does this god of yours have over there's? And do not say Jesus born of a virgin, healed the sick, and died for a sins. Because that is a false statement, It was a story about a pagan god the Christians took for there own, just swapping the pagans gods name for Jesus. I am more than happy to believe in something if you can show real evidence for it. But so far I have seen just as much evidence for Raiden and Thor (both thunder gods) as there has been for your single god. Then, let me ask you, from what basis do you have that Jesus born of a virgin, healed the sick, died for our sins a False statement? There is no historical evidence of any of that. Or think of it this way; if the above were all true, then what's not to say that other religious doctrines were also true? When they all have the same setup. And isn't that the reason why we got the Middle East going like the WrestleMania of religions? But instead of power bombing and body slamming each other for dominance, they're car bombing and suicidal bombing each other to kingdom come. |

God is very real. He is strict, yet fair. My curse as a vampire was because of my ties with darkness. God punishes me for acts of savagery to the pure and just. To this day, I contemplate my fate. Should I ever die... Hell awaits me for certain.

I, personally, do not believe in God.
Scientifically speaking, there is no proof that he ever existed, and his existence isn't testable. A devout Christian may argue that the Bible is solid, physical evidence that God truly existed, but really, is there proof that any of the writings in the Old and New Testament are fact? No, there isn't. The people who wrote it are long gone, so how can you possible prove that God exists? Any arguements made against me would have to be made out of faith in God. Unfortunately, faith is not sufficient evidence as to why God exists. |

I agree...... i use think that all those ppl back then where alians...but whatever...as u said theres no proof of the miracles and all the other stuff.... however theres a question: why did ppl started believing in God? Just for the need of sth superior or they had some proof long gone and lost through the ages ???

Do the archeological finds of scientific studies hold any weight w/ you as a proof of an historical existence? I'll not argue a proof of God, but as for proof of places in the Old Testament & people connected to them, you may want to check out something like the magazine Biblical Archeology Review. Over the years, archeologists have found the remains of cities in the area of OT Canaanites, temples like the one found in Northern Syria, & objects such as an inscription on a fragmentary stone tablet which provides us w/ an extrabiblical record of the existence of (King) David, to name a few. Again, I'm not stating these as proof of God, just as proof of some of the events, places & things mentioned in the Judeo-Christian account record in the Bible. |

I give myself very good advice, but very seldom follow it.
