Hm. People don't understand why she's rapping in her US debut. It's to appeal to her American listeners. It's not smart to come in singing her original music, which the US isn't used to, and expect to be famous. First she needs to get noticed by more people and then she could go on with the music she wants to sing.

Haven't you noticed once artists are big they can sing what they want and are still adored for it? Well it's going to take time for BoA to do that. Utada's first US album wasn't a success because it was an experimental album and it sounded different than what many people over here in the US listen to. Her new album Come Back To Me fits in more and Utada even said she wanted to make an album with a more typical beat or sound to make a bigger impact on American listeners.

The voice synthesizer is to try to block out her accent it takes time to be fluent in a language. Debuting in other countries is a challenge but it makes you grow as a entertainer and I think that is BoA's main target.

I like BoA's album. That's the only reason I know about her. I can understand her English except in I Did It For Love but other than that it's a great album. I especially like Obsessed.

Respect, you're absolutely right. I too like BoA very much, but as I wrote earlier it's not easy this time to understand her English in 'I did it for Love'. Nevertheless all she'll needs is only practice and her English will become more and more fluent, look at me: I was born in the States and went over to good ol' Germany ...in the beginning it was, well, complicated, but nowadays everybody thinks I'm a real German (sometimes it sucks). All you need to do is to listen, to talk and to learn. I wished BoA good luck (and I still do), cause there are lots of artists doing the same kind of music that she's doing right now; that's why I think 'I did it for Love' is mediocre...not bad, but also nothing really special. It won't be easy for her, but she's though, and when I think it over (the example with Utada was a good one) ...she'll could do it, after all, I guess. Lets wait and we'll see what time brings.

I don't know what it is but...I just don't like BoA's music. *is shot*
I mean, Eien is a beautiful song, but that's really the only song of hers that I really like. All of her American stuff is just not very good. I appreciate her Japanese and Korean music but it's got something about it that I just don't like. I'm not saying BoA is a bad singer or anything. She's amazing, but I don't like her songs. I don't know. =/
