As promised in last week's post, we're going to be adding drama back to the site. We've been working closely with MBC to bring you the most popular k-dramas back to cr. We're planning to add 30+ titles in the next few weeks. So far we've started with six live-action Korean drama series, available now -- Coffee Prince, Soulmate, Jumong, and more!

All shows are English subtitled and available to everyone in the US (including its terrorities), Canada, and Mexico, in LQ, HQ, and H264 qualities. (Sorry, we're working on getting it for other regions -- this regional restriction stuff sucks, I know Image )

Coffee Prince (커피프린스 1호점)
Coffee Prince was a TV series that aired in 2007, and won awards for the best drama of 2007. The story revolves around the love life and dreams of four young people who meet together at a cafe. I haven't watched this yet, but my roommate has and says it's pretty good! I plan to watch it when I have time Image

Soulmate (소울메이트)
A 2006 sitcom, "SoulMate" is a story young adults and adults can enjoy. It's a show about finding the other half of a missing soul of four couples. The drama will tell you everything you’ve always wanted to know, from spending a night with a guy you don’t like, to how to completely win over a guys heart; and much more! It spills out all the secrets of the love game. This one looks interesting too Image

Jumong (주몽)
Jumong is a period piece about the life of one of Korea’s most legendary figures, Jumong (Song Il-Kook, Emperor of the Sea), founder of the Koguryo kingdom. Amid sweeping battles and equally sweeping romance, he embarks on an adventure to bring peace and glory to the land once more.

Auction House (옥션 하우스)
Auction House is a story about Cha Yeon-soo, a success story about one young woman who takes on the auction world. This drama delves into the greed of humans that underlie art dealings and the thrilling action that takes place at auction houses between buyers and sellers.

Image
La Dolce Vita (달콤한 인생)
A drama about a man who commits suicide. A detective tries to solve the case and figure what really happened. Did Joon Soo really kill himself?

Image
Last Scandal (마지막 스캔들)
In this unconventional Cinderella story, a 39-year old woman with a kid experience hard time and hits extreme obstacles, only to overcome through sheer willpower and strength of character to live out the last and greatest scandal of her life. "Last Scandal" is for women of all ages, but it will tug especially at the hearts of those who may no longer be teenagers on the outside but will always be young within.

You really got to wonder why they'd want to restrict this stuff it's not like it's in any way commercially viable outside Asia.

That's just the way the industry works...the internet and idea of doing things globally instead of country by country is a new thing and hasn't caught on yet...copyrights and licenses and distribution rights are really complicated =(

I know, I know but sometimes you really gotta wonder what they're thinking. At least with Drama there's little piracy to begin with, with anime on the other hand it's kinda strange they leave people in certain countries no other option but piracy even if those people are willing to do the right thing but hey it's not your fault: When you're faced with acquiring show you either have to restrict or you simply don't get it at all. It's an easy choice, no matter how annoying or unfair.

I've seen this stuff aired on local tv so maybe that's why they allow it.

I am so excited to see Coffee Prince as one of the titles being shown on here! It's one of my favorite dramas and one of the few things that I've ever had a second viewing. I'm very interested in seeing Jumong as period pieces are always interesting to me. Great work!
