Amu is the cool, awesome girl, and (most) fans agree with that, so there's not really any need to discuss it. There's more controversy over which guy is "better", since there aren't any girls who are in competition with Amu for the main spot. If Nadeshiko was real, then I think you'd see more conversation over who is better, her or Amu. But since there's just Yaya, Rima, and Utau, there's not. A lot of people don't like Yaya that much, and we don't tend to see enough of Utau or Rima for them to be in competition with Amu.

Even Amu's Humpty Lock was being targeted as well by Utau for trying to being paired up with Ikuto. Each of the girls has own each quality so it's hard to say whether Utau or Rima can be competed with Amu. By compete with different way, it can be found that Amu own self originally doesn't have the abilities and skills like others but have a stronger heart more than the others.

Um, I'm not really sure what you're trying to get at. Tadase and Ikuto are completely different as well, but people will always debate which one is "better". If Amu weren't so well-liked, and if Rima and Utau got more screentime (which they don't), there would be more debates about who was better between them.
