sir, it seems like you found out that i forgot to write "of that sort" after anything.

You see, "of that sort" makes the meaning even wider; it adds other things "of that sort."

Nice escape goat. It is singular.

guess you do speak the whole atheist population, do you not

Who knows? I had been "neutral." However, I can try doing so.

No quotes to quote this time, I guess.

Why is that when a question about God or atheist is pulled up, everyone thinks they have to respond negatively?

Atheist: You arguing about how God isn’t real with a Christian and bashing other’s for their beliefs isn’t going to go anywhere. In fact, they are less likely to listen to you and obviously, no one cares.

Christians: Stop bashing atheist. Just like you have a right to believe in God, they have a right not to.

You're just pushing your beliefs on others. You arguing that there isn't a God and them arguing that there is only makes both of you look like...should I use moron or jackass?

And over the internet, too? Come on people.

my apologies on forgetting to write down "of that sort" after anything since the word anything would obviously be anything indeed if one doesnt give any thinking to it or want to start twisting words around... which i do often.

i see, rather egocentric arent you? well, i do like that kind of people for they are very humane...

sorry for the disappointment, i quote you again for the sake of doing it

Sir, I see that you are trying to reason it now. Worry not, I understand how you can no longer support what you had argued profusely and even call atheists ignorant morons when you are an ignorant moron yourself.

The way you argued it does not seem as if though "of that sort" is a part of it. You did mention language evolve. But really, sir, I understand you have your own definitions and your self to salvage from the moronic ignorance you drowned yourself in.

I am indeed self-centered for not letting you get away with a simple mistake that displays the deeds of an "ignorant moron."

A sad day for literacy.

Anyway, let us stop this here; we dragged this longer than we should have and you are just trying to save yourself from it. Really, it is alright. Do not let it bother you. No one will think bad of you. It is not a big deal. No need for kindergarten labeling.
Let us just admit we made a mistake and went on to call atheists "ignorant morons" when we actually do not have a clue of what "atheist" actually mean. It is that simple. We did not need to flamboyantly display our ignorance.

Seriously though, let us stop. I do apologize for correcting your obvious mistake. I should have realized it is way too obvious that you could have figured out how ignorant your statement was. That was very inconsiderate of me. I even called you what you called those ignorant morons! How cruel of me! I am sorry. I really did not have to correct you. I did not have to force you into creating escape goats to save yourself from your self-inflicted damages. I was very ignorant of how you might have felt. I am truly sorry.

On that note, let us seriously stop. We have digressed enough.

sir, your reply is one of the most funniest ive read in a while. thanks for the laugh.

i must apologize for being blind with your first post and being completely lost. heck. do make it more specific next time so i dont have to waste all this time on this.

true that i may not have a clue but it is none but a label. people changes over time, and so do their label. i doubt you even know what it means. i mean, heck, you put in your own opinions onto it, like all people. we see things are different point of view, and if you dont agree with me, the best solution is the death of either one for persuasion is rather hard...

I dunno...seems like people aren't as anal about being a good Christian as they were 100 years ago. I think it has to do with the church being seperate from the government (which is a good thing, in my opinion). Plus, with all the advances in science, a lot of people are truning more to rational thought and reasoning than to their God. And I imagine a lot of people are becoming bitter and cynical in regards to religion because a lot of bad shit is going on in the world and people pray for world peace and pray for the ecenomy to be better, and nothing changes. So that probably has something to do with it, too.

Personally, I'm agnostic...and yes, it's due to a bitterness towards a God I called for help and received no answer.

I think it's the same for me. I was agnostic at a young age and was often ostracized for it. I never judged other people for their beliefs but got volatile when they imposed those beliefs on me and my had my character desecrated by those who perceived themselves in an escalated sense. My late father was an adamant Mormon and served the church for forty years but became inactive months before his death, perhaps he also questioned "His" existence due to our unregimented indigency. My agnosticism was inflammed after my father's death.

To the topic. It's not surprising that the number of atheists is increasing. America isn't transfixed to religion unlike other countries, let's say the Philippines. Being colonized and under the rule of the Spaniards for more than three hundred years has embedded Catholicism and other Christian-centric religious sects in our country. I've only met a few Atheists here. Questioning the existence of a supreme being here deems one deprived of "basic instinct."

Well apparently extreme, ignorant Christians and extreme, ignorant anti-theists are fighting some kind of invisible holy war, and they have to fight over the internet because having these types of discussions with someone face-to-face is too dangerous.

Some do... But then I am no Freshmen... Only did this college thing for 8 years. This will be my last year, I am already going to have to spend the rest of my life to pay back my college loans.

People love calling others as "morons". Am I right?

Anyway, here are some philosophies regarding god's existence. Search the web. However, I assure you that I never consider every theories about god's existence as facts. Rather, it mainly depends on your "reason" and "faith" on what you should believe.

God's existence
1. John Locke's Proof of God's Existence.
2. St. Thomas Aquinas' Five Ways to Prove God's existence.

God's reason for creating 'us'
1. St. Augustine's Agape

Why does SIN exists
1. St. Augustine's Agape
2. Pierre Teilhard and the problem of Evil.

---------
Those are just simple philosophies. But anyway, I still stick in Nietzsche's philosophy rather than those philosophies.

Now that is truly amazing. But then again, I think a lot of people have moved their recently for job/business opportunities, so maybe the rise is because of those "foreigners."

It can also be caused by conversions or faulty surveys. I mean, the foreigners in Texas (that's what he meant right?) come from Christian countries and the people from U.S. going there might not be as many as the outsiders. It could have been also caused faltering beliefs.

Hey Darkphoenix3450, where do you get these polls anyway? The number of atheist in America on polls fluctuates too much that they are hardly credible.

'As you know a country wide poll is taken every year to find out what religion everyone follows. This has been the case for more than 50 years in America, the poll is not falty as you may think.
Texas... was from the same poll, also the same stats again was pointed out on a talk show, than again on another internet poll.
'so you should not have any trouble finding the stats... '
