LOL I also find it funny that the Vatican is against the use of condoms. I guess it goes against god, they want everyone to be abstinent.

The Catholic church doesn't reflect all Christians. I believe they mostly don't allow women to be priests because of tradition (because they do let them be nuns and achieve saint status). However, I believe that Christians don't need priests or a pope/bishops and I'm not Catholic. The church I go to has a female co-pastor. My mom is also a pastors wife and she leads womens' Bible studies and other things. Different churches have different views on rather women should have leadership roles, most base it off of tradition.

It was Judaism that started a patriarchal society. Before that it was all mixed. The whole image of Adam and Eve thing. So, the bible does have women like Ester and Hannah who are like we are good JEWISH WOMEN. But other then their special days people tend to focus more on Eve, Jezabel etc etc. So the reason why women ever were thought to be below men is thanks to the Bible and the spread of Christianity. Cheers.

Besides the few exceptions concerning the open-minded religious population, I find that misogyny has played an avid role in religions for hundreds of years. Men have always been on top, and they want to keep it that way. If it's in the texts of a religious document then that only proves that it was written by men who they themselves thought women as a lesser counterpart in society, further weakening the equality of all living creatures in those contexts (which sounds a little weird to me, don't you think?).

It is mainly because the bible says and I quote women are the reason for original sin, it is there fault that where where kicked out the garden of Eden etc, the bible and religion in general is and will always be sexiest toward women. This is not an opinion but a fact and well i pissed me off to be honest with you.
