Toradora, a simply amazing anime that I'd said has something exciting every episode, and the last episode in fact was great! I simply love the ending, and yes Ryuuji and Taiga finally did *something* romantic.
Ryuuji and Taiga have been living at Ryuuji's grandparent's house. Taiga, using fake messages, lies to Yasuko in order to make her get on good terms with Ryuuji's grandparents. Finally when Yasuko sees Ryuuji again, she is filled with tears of happiness. Something happened that night as well... read the spoilers to find out >.>. The next morning, they finally ride the train back to town(I don't know the name of the town they live in...). At nightfall Taiga secretly leaves town to face her parents...

~Highlights of this episode~
** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show** ~A Marriage Proposal~
At the last night that Ryuuji and Taiga sleep at Ryuuji's grandparent's house before they leave, they decide to do a marriage proposal, however Ryuuji doesn't know what to say... and then they kiss. Well, at first it was just a small kiss, then Taiga kept saying one more and yeah yeah, go watch it yourself, I'm not explaining anymore in detail.

~The Palmtop Tiger's Decision~
Taiga goes back to her apartment to check if her mother is there, she then checks her cell phone to find tons of messages left by her mother. Taiga said something about breaking the chain of jinxes so she decides to face her parents herself.
** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show**
~Without Taiga~
When Ryuuji goes to school the next day, everyone questions him where Taiga is, Yuri(Homeroom teacher of Ryuuji's class) tells everyone that Taiga has withdrawn from school. Frustrated, Ryuuji leaves the classroom and Minori, Kitamura and Ami go after him. Minori slaps him and questions him why did he let Taiga go. He answers that he did not want to let her go, but she believed in him and that was all he could do. Ryuuji gets a message from Taiga saying that he never told her that he loved her, and then a message after that saying stupid. After those two messages, everyone gets a message of a dark night sky with one star on it. On the day of the graduation ceremony, Ryuuji spots Taiga in class 2-C, and runs up there. Taiga hides in the storage locker, and Ryuuji opens it, turns out she wanted to surprise him... after that Ryuuji tells Taiga, "I love you", she headbutts his chin and the blah blah blah you get what happened.
Ok, Toradora fans, it's officially over, I hope you all enjoyed this wonderful series, and for those hoping for a sequel, let's see what's going to happen.

I LOVED the ending, it's rare for me to be satisfied with anime endings, but i was so happy how it ended, it was cute and funny yet nostalgic!
From the way it ended, i dont rly think there will be a second season, but if there is, i wouldn't mind! xD

all i have to say is this show has one of the best ending i have seen in a while, though too bad the show won't get enough praise since it was aired in the same season as Clannad.
and although it was a typical ending which can be seen a mile away the directing was well done that it was charming and engaging enough to keep watching to the end.
and extra cookie for the finale in wrapping up nicely what a train wrack the previous episode was.
overall a 8/10 for great animation, voice acting, and a charming and engaging story which doesn't resort to too much melodrama to drive character and plot development forward.
downside though is that the series is a little slow in the beginning and the usage of Kugimiya Rie as the voice of Taiga. don't get me wrong i love her high quality voice acting but it seems that she starting to get typecast to voice over nearly all characters with the same template which does get a little over used through the years.

All I have to say to the nay sayers in the previous discussion threads who argued up a storm with me about what the ending pairing would be... I. told. you. so. ^_^
It was NEVER about who Ryuuji was going to get with, because we knew all along who it was going to be. Anyone who actually thought that Ryuuji was going to end up with anyone else but Taiga, I'm sorry to say, was a fool. The story was always about HOW him and Taiga would find that unseen treasure that everyone wants, but not everyone can find. Not to sound cheesy, but that unseen treasure was love. Compare their monologues at the beginning of the story, with the one at the end, and see that they are the same. Amazing ending to an amazing love story. I could not be more pleased.
And as much as I loooove Toradora, as I had said on the comment wall, I really don't think they should make a second season. The ending was very well done and should be left alone. Trying to make anything more of this series with a second season would make no sense since the novels are over anyway, and it would hinder the amazing ending that we have been led up to.

According to the translation that i saw, it wasnt a propsal, it was a rehearsal, but since nobody picked up on that, Im going to assume that my translations were wrong and that it was an actual proposal.
This ending was beautiful. It had a twist that nobody saw (well at least i didnt), but at the same time, they did it with enough emotion to not make it overly dramatic, but at the same time, enough to make you (me) cry.
The only thing I would've liked to see would've been some more character development on Kawashima. After the whole stalker scene, the writers just seem to forget about her character wise and just have her there for plot developement.
At the risk of being flamed, I will say this: I don't think there should be a second season. If anything, i dont want a second season. Reason being:
i)What else could be added to this? JC rounded off everything so nicely, even if you noticed, they paired off the boy and pink haired girl in student council. How more detailed can you be?
ii) I wouldnt want to start it, as i wouldnt want it to end.
Iuno about you guys, but after every good anime, my heart skips a beat. With Toradora , i went into Cardiac Arrest.
Thats about all i have to say about this anime... other than that, I probably wont post here anymore unless something big comes up, or i really have something to say. Its been fun Forums!
P.S. Congrats INKO!!!!!!!! finally said his name.

I also read some of the light novels as well where tagia and ruuji do have "relations" and so on i know they can not show that on t.v. but I do believe at the end of the episode they did do that. I love the end of the series and can not wait to see if it comes to America as well, so I can buy the DVD Box set or see what figs they bring over here as well ^^ also this is my favorite .gif that I have found so far online of this episode. Also I do hope there is a OVA to wrap a couple of loose ends as well that i felt where not answered at the end.

An OVA would be nice, but it depends on how we look at it, if they left the anime like that it sorta gives a nice warm back to the past feeling.
On the contrary if they had an OVA that foreshadows a bit without going to the future, it does keep the nostalgic feeling in the anime^^
But that's how I feel about it, feel free to critic if you wish or add sugesstions

I'm very satisfied with the ending. One of the best ones I ever saw.
ToraDora was well-written. Amazing plot and love story, you can't ask for more. Even if I wanted a second season, I don't think it's necessary since it will just ruin the ending.

Great ending. I think a second season would be too much, but an OVA in order to wrap up the loose ends (like what happened with the other characters) would be nice. One of the best shows I have watched.

PUH-LEASE NO SECOND SEASON!!!
A second season will definately spoil the whole thing (though i will terribly miss Toradora), this is evident in Clannad After the Story and many other series that decided to create a second season. Besides all the second season animes ive watched so far are worse than the original.(E.g Zero No Tsukaima 2 & 3, Shakugan no Shana 2, just to name afew)
But i would love to see some spoofs or OVAs on the series

I don't know why anyone would get any idea that there is going to be a second season... there ISN'T. The novels are over, the anime is over, the story is complete and was wrapped up well in episode 25. Let things BE.
