If you had the chance to go back in time to when you were 5 and keep all your memories and knowledge would you do it or not?

im just wondering what you guys think.

For me im not sure on one side school will be really easy and you'll be able to skip grades but then on the other side thats like restarting your life so it be really long

No double posting. Could be a duplicate, but right now I don't really care.

I don't like the concept of being short and weak again. Intelligence-Yes, Physical Ability-No.

Is it even possible to prove that the past is real with factual claims?

No, but let's just say it is. It also isn't possible to even create an accurate theory of time travel because of all of the variables. Like if you went back in time to kill your parents before you were born and did, you would have never been born in the first place so your parents would have never been killed, thus you would be born anyways. Or simply put, the past can't be changed unless there are multiple futures all going along at the same time.

Fuck yeah, with knowledge retained I'd get super rich and change people lives for the better or worse, mostly worse though. That is unless that alternate universes theory is right and things I do change the future severely... I doubt it though...

Einstein's theory is that time is like a river, it speeds up and slows down. Einstein's theory allows time travel.

Like if you went back in time to kill your parents before you were born and did, you would have never been born in the first place so your parents would have never been killed, thus you would be born anyways.

Now there's 2 ways to approach this time problem.
1. Laws of physics does not let you walk on the wall because of gravity. Laws of physics may also prevent you from killing your parents.
2. The most dominant quantum theory states that multiple/parallel universes may exist. The river of time can fork into different universes and if you shoot your parents before you were, you actually shot somebody else' parent before he/she was born. You may exist in a parallel universe with the same genetic make-up but that person is not considered you.

Now your statement leaves room for questions though.

It also isn't possible to even create an accurate theory of time travel because of all of the variables.

The human race has already traveled through time. Our astronauts have already traveled into the future and our atom smashers have traveled time but it is in minuscule amounts. A tenth of a second into the future would seem like nothing happened to most people.

If you used methodological doubt your statement is dubious. That statement is also egocentric thinking and based on that statement you have unreflective critical thinking. How can you say this with any certainty? Philosophy for me does not deal in absolutes.

Those were some very big words. I'm going by what I learned in science class which is "a theory is something that has been done, but hasn't been replicated or lacks substantial evidence", which means that theories can be inaccurate in general.

I'm saying that if it was you in every way, shape, and form, you can't change something like that, thus there are many different futures going along at the same time. Probably should have said something about speed here. But all of this depends on whose theory is more correct: the one that says that you can go back and kill your parents before you were born that actually aren't yours or one that says you can't kill your parents because you would never exist because of that. But, of course, we could all be wrong and time flows at a constant speed forward, never slowing, accelerating, or going backwards.

EDIT: How can anybody say anything with certainty? 2+2 could equal 5, we just aren't advanced enough to know or not.
