"Ending" aside, I thought the episode itself was still pretty good. Now that we know the problem, it was fun to see their reactions to it. We got more scenes of confused Ren, and the dinner scene was so cute! The whole episode didn't feel rushed at all, as if we'll be getting to the rest later. They probably have this whole new thing planned out. I can't see this ending here at all.

But really, actually seeing Ren not looking at Kyoko, and disappearing into the car when he did... that was so awesome.

Yes you are right, they did a good job at pacing this episode so that it doesn't feel rushed. Why can't they have one more episode!

It was... interesting. I think some of the scenes were handled better in the manga, and I'm DEFINATELY disappointed about where they cut it off (I WANNA SEE -THAT- SCENE!) still, the ending was very open for a season 2 without making you feel like you got completely ripped off if there isn't gonna be one. I'm pretty sure there'll be a season 2, though. The fact that they left That Scene out means the Ren/Kyouko fangirls in Japan will be foaming at the mouth, which means we've got a damn good chance at getting ourselves a season 2.
