If I could travel abroad I'd go to Scottland, because I went there last summer and it was majestic, very cold at the time but still beautiful. ..................Ohio sucks

I've heard that the best time and opportunity for a person to travel abroad is through college. Use up those scholarships they provide and go have fun and gain some international experience.

Oh, it's a good thing I've stumbled in this thread.

I'm actually deciding whether I should pursue getting my Master's in Japan.
I have a month to decide. It feels like a really good experience. But like they said, only the good things are shown for tourists, but I wanna be independent anyway. The language won't be a problem, we'll be taught for a year for just Nihonggo alone.

It shouldn't be mandatory, but they should have a class about traveling to different countries.

nice idea, but it would be much better to study were you came from, because you have your friends and family

In the private college I was attending, they made it a requirement that a student has to either study abroad or go abroad for a certain length or take up a language to fulfill one of the college's new grad requirement.

Also folks, be sure to take advantage of scholarships that would help pay for the cost of the trip!
