Post Reply Image Favorite Why do Asians want to debut in the US?
Posted Mar 31 2009
Has it ever crossed your mind WHY they want to debut in the US? I mean they're already famous in their own country. Is it to be more famous? Or is it because they want to be challenged? Image

I mean let's have BoA... she's famous in Japan and Korea. Now she's going for US. Some of you might not like the way they make her voice electry right? And she's taking such a big step now. It really depend you know... the music is just not the old BoA we knew. And what if she stays in America? Image No more Asian songs?

OMG I WAS ASKING MY SELF THE SAME QUESTION !!!!!!!!! Image

to debut over here means getting your feelings hurt alot and BoA seems like a really sweet girl and being only like that doesn't work over here I mean I read all those things those people wrote on Perez Hilton blog they were plain mean and ignorant Image

The market is huge here. Basically, if you can make it in the US, you can bet that you'll be traveling the globe with concerts/movies. America's a big player in the world market.

I actually like her American songs better than her Asian ones ..

"Energetic" sounds great .. and I haven't even listened to her whole CD yet.

I've actually wondered that myself. Especially since they can get sales(at least first week wise) in Japan. But looking at the grand scheme of things from a selling point of view it would still make sense. If you can gain popular in the US and UK, they'd gain anywhere from 500 - 1mil copies per album. Could be for the clout too.

I would say lower sales. They'd have a better chance there, but success on their charts probably wouldn't cover the cost of the flight from Korea to Canada. Image Image
