gintama is funny but the fighting kind of sucks
and the amount of episodes that don't suck is frighteningly low
but the ones that are good are really good
so i'd say bleach
while i like a funny manga/anime
i don't read/watch them for it

Gintama, the character's are memorable, you can literally start at any volume and it won't matter, because it's not fallowing a set story, so it's easy to get into, and it's a decent style of humor. Bleach is alright, I will admit, because I do still read the manga every week it come's out, but Gintama is just an all around better series to read, and watch.

Where do I watch Gintama and if it ain't about Death Gods and swords, then it ain't gonna win over Bleach in my favorites. The only thing that can beat bleach is that if it were about Deathgods and swords! So far, Bleach is the best anime I have ever seen.

Well, it has Bleach references. Stuff like, when the main character is reading Shonen Jump (One time it even had Ichigo's face on it. Lol!) he says, "Why can't I have a Bankai?" and he also says something about Getsuga Tenshou...but Gintama has quite a few references which makes it funnier in my opinion. 
But yeah, I kind of prefer both. |

i'd have to say both although it took me a bit to get into gintama once u get into it and see all the anime/manga references u cant help but laugh. i pretty much love the ending parts of bleach like the picture book thing coz those are funny. also its not really fair to compare bleach to gintama since gintama is more a gag anime/manga and bleach being just more action.

Well... at this point in time I would have to say Bleach. Just because I have never watched Gintama. I think, from what I've seen, that it might be worth looking into. Does anyone else have any opinion on whether it is a good enough series to get started on?
