So....based on episode 25 -

Kyouko said "a new me awaits" and

Shou said "if you're going to do that then two can play at this game"

and if the future is near

and the next stage is...

that leaves a lot of open ended stuff despite it saying "oshimai/the end" there's a "..."

usually in manga, where there is a "..." at the end of a chapter, it means that it is not finished... "owari" is the usual "the end" of a series *

*see bottom of last page of I.O.N. -->

...so it must not be the end... even though both mean "the end" ... owari is the more traditional/more often seen word used to represent "the end" ... or so I've noticed... could it really be hinting at more to come?? I think so, and that with the "..." also should be considered as indicators...

...hopefully the "Broadcast is over. Thank you for your support" that is on the official anime site http://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/anime/s-beat/ doesn't mean anything dire...

... what do the rest of you Skip Beat! fans think?? is it reasonable to think there could be more coming???
(in your reply, do try to say more than "the manga is still going" or "yes" ... write some deep stuff )

I don't know for sure. What your saying kinda makes it harder for me to decide. if they were totally done I would of figured they would of wrapped things up and tied up all the loose ends but they didn't so I'm hoping that means they will continue eventually. Personally I think it's best they wait a while I would hate for them to catch up to the manga that would mean stupid filler or them having to end the anime prematurely and come up with their own ending. Theres hope

i should add that there are more than enough chapters to do a second season. but business is business....i wish i could know how "business" from skip beat anime is out there, cause something like that would make it definitely a reason for second seasonxD
as you said about the the last episode i couldn't add anything more about it!! and watching other anime too.....ends like the skip beat one,
usually are the openings for the second season....consider that you have no idea about the manga..watching the anime you could feel like this is the end?it feels more like opening to me and so other anime had second season that had not such fans like this one....
and the other thing???they're making drama???they consider to make a drama for an anime with only 25 episodes??? NO WAY!!
anime "nana" also has a drama movie and the anime has 52 or so episodes^^ but if they're going to make a drama.... i guess more episodes to come before the drama comes in air^^ i believe it will be a second season!! (soon i hope!!i'm going crazy here watching over and over again the same episodes^^ )

I think the biggest reasons why there could be a season two is because of the way the show ended and because of the manga. The show's ending was left wide open for a second season. Nothing has really been resolved, she hasnt yet found the ability to love, Ren's true identity hasn't been revealed yet, and she still hasn't had her oh-so-sweet revenge on Shou yetl. The manga is pretty far (atleast far enough to have a second season without fillers) and the show has almost completely followed it. Most shows when they don't plan on coming out with a second season take the best arcs, a few fillers, and a few really good episodes from the available mange, throw it together and call it a season (Ouran, Kare Kano, The Wallflower). Skip Beat has a good story line, and honestly its just too good not to continue it.

Aside from the most awaited development in renxkyo relationship...

Thousands of "US" clamoring for a second season is enough for them to make one..

hehe.. MORE! MORE! MORE!

i also agree that another season is more likely than not having one...too many unanswered questions and especially the most important one: DID SHE FINALLY GET THE REVENGE SHE ALWAYS WANTED? so i think that a second season is coming, it's just a matter of when...but seriously, can't the makers just tell us that they are going to make one? i would rather wait a year KNOWING that another season is coming than this UNBEARABLE WAIT IN THE DARK!

well... i believe that there's going to be a season 2 of skip beat.... i guess...
the reason why i thought so is because Ren still hasn't finish his katsuki role... and how he realized his true feelings for kyoko...
i just have the feeling that there will definitely be a second season.

This has been said quite repeatedly but I'm going to add my two cents in anyway. I don't think there should be any doubt as to 'if' there is going to be a second season. I think it's just a matter of 'when'.

Of course, there is always the possibility of another 'Loveless' fiasco. Loveless' anime is only one season, with 13 episodes, and it leaves you at a terrible cliff hanger. The Manga, however, goes on, at least 10 times as long. However, the difference between Loveless and Skip Beat! is the accuracy of the Anime. Skip Beat! tends to stick very firmly with what's in the Manga without straying with its own interpretation of it. It might make it less of an anime, but it definitely gives it more strength in the fan-base department. Everyone who has read the Manga knows what's going to happen and are excited to see how it would look in motion --- isn't that one of the major charms of anime, after all?

There are plenty of loose ends that remained untouched, some even undiscovered at the moment

Also, if you think about the Manga, the Dark Moon chapters are the beginnings of the first 'real' climax in it. It doesn't seem likely that the first real challenge in the anime will be left unattended. It's inconsistent and just a damn shame if they do. But aside from all the 'you know there is going to be another one because of this...' there is always going to be a slim chance that something will happen to the artists, monerial problems that could back up the time -- all sorts of real life problems that have nothing to do with their intentions and still manage to upset hundreds of thousands of fans.

Still, I think there is hope. Plenty of it, if you look for all the clues in the entire season. I could probably go on, but I won't. My point is made I think LOL -- There will most definitely be a second season. Now if anyone can somehow manage to sneak into the artists' brains and find out the release date, THAT would solve a real mystery in everyone's mind.

I've seen second seasons drawn out for months without even whispering of a new one coming out. So hopefully, it'll be less than 9 months (like what happened with Code Geass:R2) =3

Cheers!

The opening theme looked like there was a lot of foreshadowing in it so I'm hoping that means something.
