Has anyone tried the rpg game Ether Saga? I just saw a whole bunch of ads on crunchyroll and looked up some vids on youtube, it looks pretty fun, but i'd like some reviews from someone who has actualy played. So how is it?

Nice explanation.

No seriously, you should both apply to be game critics.

i tried playing tit for couple hours, it was okay

though i did spend an hour looking for some item that was right next to me lol

anyways its okay, its REALLY easy, and the quests are kinda boring

overall its just another boring MMORPG to kill time

Ether Saga is one of those bland cookie cutter Asian MMOs. The graphics look great, but the servers aren't very stable or reliable and game play is very sub-par. I've defiantly played better Asian MMOs than this one before.

I wouldn't recommend it, but if you really want to try it, go try it.

looks okay for a while played it today was kinda funny but I think it might have been because I've been away from MMO's

I see the ad on the top of crunchyroll all the time.

Not overly interested though.

My Opinion:
Contrary to what everyone is saying, Ether Saga Online is a great game. But just like any other game, it has its own pros and cons.
Some that i notice while playing are listed as follows.

PROS
- Great Graphics The creators of this game also created Perfect World, so you can imagine the quality of Ether's Graphics

- Intricate Build, Jobs, and pet system. Every single build available for any character in this game has it's own ups and downs. I like how it's balanced. Each job specializes in different aspects of the game, gameplay can vary how ever you want to. Pet system is really intricate. For starters, you can have a lot of pets. You can do 3 main things to them. To stow them (put them in the bag, they wont get exp) to summon them (summoned pets attack as well as you do, for range you can use them to tank for you, will get EXP) or fuse with them (fuses your pet and your HP together to have longer HP, and some pets when fused will give you a certain boost whether in attack, accuracy, hp and many more.). There is also something called molding or was it melding . . . it's when you fuse two pets together 2 get a better one. To get skills and get the buffs you need i think. I really havent gone through the game far enough to know exactly. There is also a DOB (date of birth) system which grants the character certain skills when certain levels are reached. It takes a lot of time . . . trust me . . . there are a lot of skill to choose from . . .

- For those who arent hard core gamers, early stages of the game dont require enormous amounts of time grinding levels away. It is recommended that players do quests. There are a lot of events going on which gives a bunch of experience so ez levelin

CONS
- Character Appearance . . . you get 5 hairs per tribe, you cant change hair colors. and 5 faces. So thats 15 types of hair and 5 types of faces . . . not like Perfect World where you can change basically anything

- for people who hates running around town, and enjoy countless hours of grinding this isnt a game for you . . .

- There's no perfect build . . . You can spend hours and hours looking on the web but no one will give you the perfect build . . . only you can make it O__o well unless u toss in a few cash and get the best equips around then yeah u can prolly be near perfect XP

- bag is too small . . . ud waste your time tossing shit away or tossing away less pricey items cuz the bag is too small. There are quests to increase your bag but it requires actual money . . yeah i mean $$$ -___-

- Getting money for lower levels is hard XP nuff said

- It can get monotonous. Yes, you have to quest ur lvl ups . . . and yeah there are lots of them . . . there are repeatable quests that youll find yourself doing over and over . . . it gets monotonous . . . like really . . it gets boring. . . especially if your a tank dragoon and you have to attack everything with out skills -___- (yeah im a tank dragoon . . .)

Thats it, ive mentioned earlier i havent really gone through the game long enough to give a better view of the game but after a couple of weeks of playing, that's what i see. Lots of cons, but can easily be over looked. It beats maple story at the very least XP
