Well, I knew it's possible to exist...but I'm always wondering how will the table stacks the tiles face down...

The bottom part if the tile, the symbols and characters, are the heaver side. Once inside the table, it rotates in around 360, at the same time there is this stick that is flicking around large numbers of tile, this stick makes every tile downside as they fall down (hum.... a pyramid that has been toss upwards, when fallen down, the heaver side always lands first [which is the bottom]). When those downside tile goes to a certain location, they are collected and organized for the next round. It is as simple as that, once you look and re-look at the table from a different angel, you could have easly understand. |

To play either refresh or Right Click and hit "play") |

I must be a bit old-fashioned because I've NEVER seen the type of Mahjong table shown in Saki at any of the family gatherings I remember where there were several tables playing Mahjong. Maybe it's because everyone I know plays Hong Kong-style mahjong, which is very different than the Japanese-style game.

It works just as well for Hong Kong-style mahjong, since they both set up the walls and hands the same way. The first hit on a Youtube search for "automatic mahjong table" clearly has Chinese being spoken too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffheXp2oi4E I guess you just have to go to a fancy mahjong parlor or something. Too be honest, it's a bit unrealistic for a high school club to have an automatic mahjong table, since when I was in high school, random clubs didn't have the sort of budget to buy such fancy equipment. |

There are magnets in the tiles so the table can always flip them the proper way. Here are a couple links showing how they work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rLVjOmS6ro http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-kJiXJ-ilg |
