Requiem for UlquiHime!

A the newest chapter says goodbye to the most awesome Bleach character and in a way puts a stop to the UlquiHime fandom(in terms of future moments) I wanted to create this thread as a "Remember UlquiHime" and give our thoughts about what this pairing meant and if Kubo gave a good conclusion to their relationship.

Though I feel sour about Ulqui's death and I want to read the chapter for some final thoughts the last moment between them can't be explained in words....it was simply beautiful and heart-wrenching and for me it made me love them even more.I liked the fact that before Ulqui's disappearance his final words went to Hime and his "Is that so...." places this pairing forever in the world of "maybe" and "what if".

Hime reaching his hand to him as salvation and redemption is very symbolic as well as his inability to reach it. As someone in a forum said: Ulquiorra's death perfectly mirrored his life: Always reaching, but never able to grasp, which got me thinking of that sketch of Ulqui's hand in the mirror:Everything divides us.This has always applied to Ulquiorra and Orihime.


course I feel a lot of anger towards something called massive plotkai on Ichigo's coming to his senses and not remembering anything and Ulqui's:"Oh no I used all of my power....*turns to ash*" but I don't wanna ruin the moment....

on the other hand the good part is the hand reaching moment I think just made UlquiHime canon in shonen terms though the page is the shoujo-est ever possible! *love*



Orihme's poem also gets me thinking about Ulqui and maybe everything was actually connected:

We
As one:are not intertwined

As two:do not share the same form

Of the third:we simply don't have eyes

Of the fourth:we have no hope in that direction

At the fifth:therein lies the heart

TT^TT I'm so sad about this chapter.

I agree, that hand scene was the best way to show a shojo-ish moment in a shonen manga.
And UlquiHime has always been canon to me.

Personally, I wanted Ulqui to join the good side. It makes me mad that in his moment of dying/turning to sand or whatever that he said "I'm finally starting to find you guys a little interesting." Like he was able to understand them. but then it was his time to go. This sucks.

But the good-bye was really romantic and bittersweet. He wanted to know what Hime thought of him, didn't he?

I think so too....a couple of chapters back he asked Hime if she's afraid,but I think in the end what he truly wanted to know if she was afraid of him, and her no gave him the inner peace he needed.
I know!I was like eh?finally confessing his feeling to them *Hime of course* cough and then puf!turns to ash...but it was beautiful...the last 3 pages were the most beautiful in the entire manga and made UlquiHime canon...I took a deep sigh when she tried to take his hand and almost reached his fingers but they started to vanish....never able to grasp one another....that's really sad....

Ulquiorra's my favorite character so this is a big hit to me but I'm happy about their good-bye and the way he went.....not happy about the huge plotkai but hey it's Ichigo,plotkai is already in his character file as for every hero....

I can not believe this I leave the internet alone for one month and this is what happens! Kubo you better have hime rez Ulqui or you will pay! Ulquiorra didnt even die in a good way! it could of at leat been more heroic! I am OUTRAGED!!!

what a way to end....he should have lived....
