Right now, "moe" centers cute characters. Schoolgirls, short, small, and glasses are of the moe'd character.
Do you think viewers will change their preferences/moe of characters?
An ugly(what is ugly by the way) good-eyesight'd person?

Also, will the "moe change" help society change for the better or worse?
Changing the way we think of beautiful and ugly...

I believe an individual's moe are very different from others. I personally think the change of characters will make a change for the worse. Make more busty yet "child-like" characters whom are always in need for a male character. Also, they are always timid.
It would make more peer pressure onto children and a social/mental impact to the community.
Also, how about other animation. Not just that. How about TV or movies. They always have more sex to it and violence. You can't just blame anime.

I agree, Moe means different things to different people. That said, pretty much any character could be subjet to moe worship(?). I suppose when you've seen all the cute girls with glasses you care to see, you move on to something else.

I'm not sure I follow this, but I don't see how a change in a persons moe preference, say going from glasses moe to big breast moe, could affect society at all, for better or worse. If I'm missing the point you're trying to make, could you please elaborate?

I think moe is pretty much the same as cute.
They both mean different things to different people.

Honestly, moe characters have "more character" than those annoying high-maintenance anime girls with their equally high-pitched voices who are demanding as hell and are always in need of a male.... and through it all, are still considered "kawaii".

you ask; what is ugly?

Ugly or "ugliness" is a property of a person or thing that is unpleasant to look upon and results in a highly unfavorable evaluation
