Say I've been seeing a lot of recurring themes in anime and manga like love, feelings, caring for people, saving the environment, saving the world, trust, courage, and a bunch of other themes. Now I know that most people if not all of us are watching and reading to either escape from reality, for entertainment, or even some other reasons that I'm not aware of but do we actually see the morals of the anime and manga? We can even cry in an anime or manga (and trust me, I have a bunch of times and I am not afraid to admit that either) and see how tragic some stories can be sometimes. When we do see these morals, does it impact our lives and maybe change us a little like treat others differently or follow a story's example or do we just ignore it and just move on with our lives? (and knowing the most of the world, we most likely ignore and move on, but I really don't know that for sure).

So my question is what are your opinions on this matter?

I'm sorry but I don't think its a smart idea to learn my morals from a fictional show/comic book

I have my own morals which I gather from what experience I have.. I don't usually get them from fictional places.. Sometimes, maybe.... but most of the time.. heck no..

Despite the fact that those fictional stories were created by human beings and those stories received a huge injection with real life situations?

I wonder what Red Riding Hood would say to that.

Morals from animes dnt really impact my life as much. I mean, its more or less the same thing in my opinon. Although the funny animes that have..erm..Teachings etc in them are nice to watch when ur life is shiz..

Btw, you cannot based your morals all on expriences because most of us are still young and have not experienced much of the world.

You know... Some technologies that we take for granted are inspired ideas from fictional writings.

Anime is something I enjoy, and morals are something I think are gained by experience. "I approve of, don't approve of". etc.

Oh, I guess you never heard in Malaysia, our education requires us student to learn moral through moral subject. We have this very stupid lame test and 36 moral values and its defination to memorize.

It's best to take knowledge from all sources, and decide what is right for you.
I got that from a cartoon ;)
