And forgot to post the list of people in the FAILippines goverment who is responsible for this...

"A bill banning this pornographic cartoon was approved recently by the Joint House Committees on Justice and Welfare of Children chaired by Rep. Matias Defensor (3rd District, Quezon City) and Rep. Monica Prieto-Teodoro (1st District, Tarlac), respectively.

Other authors of the bill are Reps. Rene M. Velarde (Party-List, BUHAY), Ignacio T. Arroyo (5th District, Negros Occidental), Rufus B. Rodriguez (2nd District, Cagayan de Oro), Narciso D. Santiago III (Party-List, Alliance for Rural Concerns), Matias V. Defensor (2nd District, Quezon City), Jr., Lorenzo Tanada III (4th District, Quezon), Edgardo M. Chatto (1st District, Bohol) and Luzviminda C. Ilagan (Party-List, Gabriela)."

Those names look familiar to me... I can tell that they are all conservative Catholics. Oh geez.

Besides, it seems as if they are just imitating those anti-loli bills in the other country. And trying to get a good name for election.

They can't even enforce their own drinking laws in that country (Drinking age is 21 in the Phil as well, bartender in Manila gave me some drinks when I was 18 the last time over there.......do the math, kids), now they wanna add another law that they also can't enforce.

see i don't think loli and shota are child pornography...yes they involve naked children however let us not forget that they are NOT REAL!!!!! it's different if it's actually real people, but i think it's better to have them watching the fake thing than the real thing.

i think it's dumb to ban hentai. i don't think it matters what people watch in their private homes. now if they were watching it in public that's a different story

Wee I actually got some replies!

Yeah I think that our country will have a very hard time enforcing the law since this issue goes hand-in-hand with piracy, seeing as we have trouble combating piracy, how much more can we deal with this issue.

Its an image thing, the government is showing that they are (or at least appear to be) doing something (even if it doesn't work).

I changed my mind. We do need laws like this! Think of those poor 2d girls, do you have any idea whats its like being just a picture, then some guy clicks on you, faps, and then just closes the window? sure he might save you, but then he will get sick of you, and then delete you. fake girls have feelings too, and this video is my proof!

If your going to fap, marry the picture first! Atleast then they wont feel so used and dirty!

I don't care about this. . . I don't even think that my country can conduct this rule properly. . .

This law is just for those to officials to make a good image 'cause of the incoming 2010 election. ..

This law is really non sense. . .

Even having this law, vendors will still continue to sell hentai DVDs . .

dude, i got my first taste of alcohol when i was 10. been drinking since 15 and sometimes going to college drunk and gets away with it (hell, i can do almost anything i want now. *cough*college grad*cough*). well, bottomline is they're doing this since the elections are coming up again and they want to rake in the votes by doing something "good" (whoever the idiots who thought of this shitty bill) and this is another fine example of the philippine government's incompetence. dammit, they can't even stem off corruption in their own ranks. they should clean up their act first before running off with a useless bill like this one. and people, let me tell you this... philippine government = EPIC FAIL
