Not particularly, but I know that La Corda d'Oro actually kind of crushed my dreams a little. I want to be a concert pianist but I felt like crap because the pianist in that show is better than me. xD But I guess it did kind of inspire me a little.

Glass Mask and Skip beat sort of made me want to be an actor. I'm a real fine arts kind of person.

It's fake. They got a recording of some uber-awesome musicians (like yo yo ma for cello) and used it for the music in the anime. Besides, there will always be someone better than you in everything. If you truly loved classical music and the piano, you should pursue in it.

Fake? No no, you don't understand. The anime is fake, of course, but the point is that there is a REAL musician behind the lines and colors.

And the correct word in my first post should be "wanted", because that is no longer my goal. I no longer take lessons or compete. Believe me I am fully aware that there is someone better, but it's no deal.

To keep this from being entirely off-topic, I'll say that there was once a voice-actor show that made me think it'd be neat to do such a thing, too. Can't quite recall the name of it, though. There's also a manga, "Bakuman" (I think?), that kind of gives you insight into what it's like trying to make it as a mangaka. It's pretty interesting. I have little artistic ability, myself, and little patience for detailed drawing.

lol I apologize for assuming you thought the anime was "real". It's likely it would be based off of a true story, but the exact plot isn't.
